Focal Point #4

January 24, 2010

Am I Not Enough? Mark 8:16-21 Jesus attempted to help the disciples _______________ their focal point to Him. (Mark 8:16-21)  The disciples’ focal point was their ____________ of bread. (Mark 8:16)

 Jesus asked several questions to help them understand that the issue isn’t bread but _________. (Mark 8:17-21)

Looking Up

Make Jesus the focal point of your life because He is the __________________ of everything you need. (Colossians 1:15-18)

Suggested idea for your group prayer time: During this series, Pastor Bob has encouraged us to “remember” what God has done as a way to keep our eyes focused on Him. Consider beginning your group prayer time by focusing on praises and thanksgiving for what God has done for you. Make this an interactive prayer time by praying just a few sentences of praise or thanks that is focused on one item. Then, after others have had a chance to pray for one item, share another praise or thanksgiving in prayer to God.

 Get your eyes off your _______________ and onto Jesus. (Hebrews 12:1-2a)

 Do ________________________ it takes to keep Jesus your focal point.
