Media Luncheons:
McNeese will hold its weekly media luncheon on Tuesdays during the season. Head coach Matt Viator will speak at approximately 12:30 and will be available after the press conference as well. Players will be available for interviews between 1-1:30 at the field house.
Practice Coverage:
Practices are open to the media and public but interviews will not be conducted until after practice is over.
Postgame Interviews:
Interviews with players and coaches will be conducted on the playing field after a 10-minute cooling off period. Please coordinate through the sports information office for interview needs.

Offensive Line Ready to Lead
• Cowboys return all five starters from last year’s unit and got the services back from another Miguel Gauthreax - who started every game in 2010 but missed the entire 2011 season due to a knee injury • Line includes three players that have earned all-conference honors (Gauthreaux, Alec Savoie, Jonathan Landry) and another, Savoie, who has been named to several all-America teams.
Brotherly Love in the Defense
• Senior all-American free safety Malcolm Bronson and his backup, brother Ryan Bronson, will be wrapping up a three-year playing career together. Ryan still has one year remaining to play. • The brothers are the nephews of former McNeese and San Francisco 49ers standout Zach Bronson • Malcolm led the team with 90 tackles and three interceptions last season while Ryan had nine stops while playing in nine games
Southland Conference Gets Stronger
• With Texas-Arlington, Texas State and Texas-San Antonio all leaving the league last year, the conference has further strengthened its membership with the addition of Oral Roberts, the University of New Orleans, Houston Baptist, Abilene Christian and Incarnate Word • ORU and UNO are non-football playing schools • Houston Baptist is starting up football and will start competition in 2013 and will field a full Southland slate in 2014 • Abilene Christian and Incarnate Word are making a transition from Division II to Division I
