HOFSTRA STREAKING AGAIN - For the second time this season, the Pride has put together a winning streak of five games or more. The current streak stands at five. - Hofstra had a seven-game streak earlier in the season. VERSUS WILLIAM AND MARY - Hofstra will be facing William and Mary for the 17th time on Friday with the Tribe holding a 10-6 series advantage. William and Mary has won the last two encounters including a 2-1 overtime decision in Virginia last year, The Tribe is led by junior Pippin Sanders with eight goals and three assists while senior Emma Clifton has added six goals and a team-high six assists. Junior goalie Meredith Savage has recorded a 2.78 goals against average and a .602 save percentage while playing every minute this season. VERSUS JAMES MADISON - James Madison will be facing the Pride for the 15th time and hold a 10-4 series lead over Hofstra. The Dukes have also won their last two games against the Pride including a 3-1 decision in Harrisonburg last season. JMU, which has scored 18 goals in four CAA contests this year, has great firepower with six players in double-figure points. The Dukes are led in scoring by junior Loes Stijntjes with 13 goals and four assists. Red-shirt junior Taylor West has added 10 goals and seven assists while classmate Adrienne le Vatte has chipped in with four goals and a team-high 10 assists. Senior goalie Hannah George has recorded a 2.14 goals against average and a .659 save percentage while playing in 15 games for JMU. CAA CHAMPIONSHIP BIDS AT STAKE - Hofstra, currently in a three-way tie for second-place with Northeastern and William and Mary just one game behind defending champions Delaware (10-7, 4-1), will be looking to secure a CAA Championship bid this weekend. One victory will

guarantee Hofstra’s passage into the CAA Championship while two will give the Pride the regular season title. The Pride will try to reenter the CAA Championship after a one-year hiatus. The senior captain recorded the third hat-trick of her career, scoring once in the first half and twice in the second session against the Blue Hens. She now has careerhighs of 15 goals and 35 points on the season, topping last year’s marks of 13 goals and 32 points. Boileau becomes the third Hofstra player to receive CAA Player of the Week honors this season after sophomore Claudia Marin Samper received it on September 16 and classmate Stella Schoen earned the award last week. CARYS SWAN - CAA ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Freshman goalie Carys Swan was named the CAA Rookie of the Week after allowing just two goals in each of Hofstra’s two victories last week. Swan posted three saves in the 4-2 win at Towson last Friday and five more stops - all in the second half - at Delaware on Sunday. It was her 11th and 12th victories of the season. She now has a 2.27 goals against average and a.660 save percentage with 68 saves in 17 games this season. The CAA Rookie of the Week award is the second of the season for Swan, who won the award on September 9. SENIOR DAY ON SUNDAY - Not to be lost in the drive for a CAA bid is the pregame Senior Day ceremony on Sunday for the three graduating Hofstra Field Hockey seniors. Jonel Boileau, Holly Andrews and Marta Penas and their families will be recognized before the JMU contest. In addition to her scoring accolades, Boileau is a twotime all-region selection who has played in 78 games during her Pride career. Andrews has tallied four goals and two assists while playing in 73 games during her career. Penas has recorded three goals and four assists in 74 games during her Hofstra career.

JONEL BOILEAU - CLIMBING THE CHARTS - Boileau, who has tallied 15 goals and five assists this season, now has 47 goals and 17 assists for 111 points in her career. Her 47 goals and 11 points both rank fourth on the all-time scoring chart while her 17 assists ties her with three others for 11th on the career assists chart. - She tallied a goal and an assist in the Drexel contest on October 10 to become the sixth player in school history to eclipse the 100-points plateau. Her goal in the contest was the 99th and 100th points of her career while her assist on the winning goal gave her 101 career points. - She recorded the seventh and eighth game-winning goals of her career with her overtime tally against Fairfield and the deciding goal against Maine. She had two in 2013, three in 2012 and one in 2011 to go with her two in 2014. STELLA SCHOEN - GOHOFSTRA PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Sophomore forward Stella Schoen recorded one goal and four assists in the Pride’s victories over Towson and Delaware last week. She assisted on all three of Jonel Boileau’s goals at Delaware to help snap the Blue Hens’ 12-game CAA winning streak. For her player last week, she was named the GoHofstra.com Student-Athlete of the Week. - She now has five goals and a career-high seven assists in 10 games this season.

- Schoen tallied two goals and added an assist in the Pride’s 63 victory over Rider on October 19. She was named the CAA Co-Player of the Week on October 21. - After missing seven games with an injury, Schoen recorded her first goal of the season at Quinnipiac and her first assist of the year at Syracuse - Schoen also scored the game-winning overtime goal in the Pride’s 4-3 victory over Columbia on October 5. SIMCA SCHOEN - Freshman defender Simca Schoen tallied her 10th assist of the season against Rider on October 19. It is the most assists by a Hofstra freshman in school history. She also has three goals in 2014. - She recorded her third goal of the season on October 10 at Drexel to break a 1-1 tie and give Hofstra a 2-1 victory over the Dragons. For her efforts, she was named the CAA Rookie of the Week. - She tallied her second goal of the season against Northeastern on October 3. - She recorded two assists in the Pride’s 3-1 win at UMass Lowell on September 19. - Schoen was named the CAA Rookie of the Week for the period ending September 14. She assisted on goals by junior Charlotte Loehr and the game-winner by Boileau in Hofstra’s 21 overtime victory over Fairfield and added two more assists, on goals by Boileau and Marin Samper, in the Pride’s 4-0 win over Vermont in the Catamount Classic. She was also named to the All-Catamount Classic team. - Schoen recorded a goal and an assist against Sacred Heart on September 5. MARIN SAMPER - Sophomore Claudia Marin Samper scored her 13th goal of the season at Delaware last weekend. - She now has 13 goals, eight assists and 34 points – all career-highs – this season. - Marin Samper tallied a goal and an assist against Rider on October 19. - She tallied three goals and one assist in the Hofstra games against Northeastern and Columbia on October 3 and 5. Marin Samper scored the Pride’s third goal in the 57th minute in the 4-3 CAA loss to 17th-ranked Northeastern on October 3. On Sunday, October 5 against Columbia, she scored Hofstra’s first two goals and assisted on the game-tying third goal by Charlotte Loehr for her five-point day. - She tallied two goals and one assist in the Pride’s 3-1 win at UMass Lowell. Marin Samper notched the game-winner and the insurance goals later in the first half. - Marin Samper was selected the Colonial Athletic Association Field Hockey Player of the Week for the period ending on September 14. She tallied three goals and added one assist in the Pride’s three wins over Fairfield, Vermont and Maine that week. - She was selected the Catamount Classic Most Valuable Player and selected to the All-Catamount Classic team. - She tallied two goals and added one assist in the Pride’s 3-2 victory over Sacred Heart at Yale on September 5. The two goals and five points were all career-highs while the one assist tied her previous best. CARISSA WITMER - Sophomore defender Carissa Witmer scored her first goal of the season in the second half against Rider to break a 3-3 tie and start a three-goal run for the Pride. - She tallied four goals and one assist in 2013.

CARYS SWAN - Freshman Carys Swan recorded her 111th and 12th victories of the season last week at Towson and Delaware. - Currently, Swan has a 2.27 GAA and .660 save percentage while playing 1081 minutes in 17 games this season. - She won her first six consecutive starts for Hofstra this season. -Swan recorded a season-high eight saves in the Pride’s win over Maine. - In addition to her award this week, Swan was also named the Colonial Athletic Association Field Hockey Rookie of the Week for the period ending September 7. Swan led the Pride with two victories that week. Swan recorded three saves and picked up her second victory of the season in Hofstra’s 3-2 victory over Sacred Heart University in New Haven on September 5. Two days later, Swan made six saves in the Pride’s 2-1 victory at Yale. SPREADING THE WEALTH - Hofstra had five different players tally goals in their 6-3 victory over Rider on October 19. - Hofstra has five players in double-figure scoring this season. ON THE ROAD - Hofstra is now 9-4 on the road, with two neutral site wins, this season. A GAME OF SPURTS - The Rider game on October 19 was a game of spurts with the Pride scoring the first three goals of the contest before the Broncs of Rider scored the next three to tie the contest just 9:21 into the second half. But Hofstra tallied three goals over a

span of 8:40 later in the half to put the contest away. - Hofstra outshot Rider, 22-6. ONE FOR MOM AND DAD - Sophomore midfielder Colby Hussong made her parents proud on October 19 against Rider even though they were on the opponents bench. Her mom, Lori Hussong, is the head coach of the Broncs of Rider while her dad, Dan, is the Broncs assistant coach. FOUR GOALS FOR DEL VALLE - Junior Lauren del Valle recorded single-game and single season career-highs of four goals in the Pride’s 7-1 victory at Colgate in Hamilton, NY on August 31. SEVEN GOALS - After being blanked by Albany in the season opener, Hofstra tallied seven goals against Colgate on August 31. It was the most goals by a Hofstra team since a 7-2 win over Delaware in 2011. CAREER-HIGHS - Junior Lauren del Valle had career-highs of four goals and eight points against Colgate. - Sophomore forward Claudia Marin Samper scored two goals and an assist against Sacred Heart and UMass Lowell to post single game career-highs in goal and points and equal her assist mark. FIRST POINTS - Sophomore defender Leigh Maxwell-Smith recorded the first points of her college career with two assists at Colgate. - Sophomore Emily Gallagher also recorded her first collegiate point with an assist at Colgate. - Sophomore-transfer midfielder Colby Hussong, who came to Hofstra from Miami (OH) last January, recorded her first Hofstra point with an assist at Colgate. - Freshman Simca Schoen tallied her first collegiate goal and assist against Sacred Heart on September 5.

SEVEN GAME WIN STREAK - With the loss at New Hampshire on September 21, the Pride’s longest win streak since 2003 came to a close at seven games. - Hofstra won the first eight games of 2003. - The Hofstra single season consecutive win mark is nine, set by the 1987 team that finished 15-4. The Pride also posted nine consecutive wins with their win over Rutgers in the 2002 finale and the eight wins to start 2003. 2014 CAA PRESEASON TEAM - Senior Jonel Boileau and sophomore Stella Schoen were named to the 2014 All-CAA Preseason Field Hockey Team. - Sophomore defender Carissa Witmer was an honorable mention on the preseason team. 2014 CAA PRESEASON POLL Hofstra was picked to finish sixth in the 2014 Colonial Athletic Association preseason poll. 1. The goal tied the game at 1-1 before the Pride fell in overtime, 2-1. - Freshman Claudia Marin Samper scored her first college goal-a game-winner-against Sacred Heart on September 8. - Freshman Carissa Witmer scored her first collegiate goal on Sept. 1 vs. Syracuse. - Junior Marta Penas scored her first collegiate goal on Aug. 30 vs. La Salle. 2013 HOFSTRA CAREER HIGHS - Junior Jonel Boileau recorded a career-high three assists and equaled her single game-high in points with seven at Northeastern on September 2, 2013. She also has set single season career highs with 13 goals, six assists and 32 points in 2013. - Sophomore Charlotte Loehr tallied career-highs of three goals and three assists in 2013. - Sophomore Lauren del Valle posted career-highs of three assists and 10 points in 2013. - Junior Holly Andrews had a career-high two goals in 2013. HOFSTRA’S 2013 CAA LEADERS - Freshman Gillian Kirkpatrick led the CAA in defensive saves with six. - Junior Jonel Boileau was third in points and goals, fourth in shots and eighth in assists. - Freshman Stella Schoen was second in shots, sixth in points and goals and eighth in assists in the CAA. - Senior Kaitlyn De Turo led the CAA in saves (161). - Hofstra was first in the CAA in saves (170) and defensive saves (9), third in goals (43), fourth in shots (272), and sixth in penalty corners (97).

2013 ASICS ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM SELECTIONS - The Pride had three all-tournament team selections in the 2013 Asics Invitational. Goalkeeper Kaitlyn De Turo and freshmen Stella Schoen and Carissa Witmer all received the honor in the season-opening tournament.
