2015 EARTHQUAKE RAVAGES NEPAL! On April 25th 2015, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck central Nepal, killing over 8000 people. Another 23,000 people were injured and hundreds of thousands were left homeless. A second devastating earthquake hit the country on 12 May.
Women had been marginalized long before their country suffered a devastating earthquake, however, Nepalese women have borne a disproportionate burden in its aftermath.

Involvement in Community Micro Enterprise Development Programs in rural and urban areas of Kathmandu are also serving to Empower women.
