• Postseason Success... The Huskies are making their 22nd consecutive postseason appearance and 11th straight under 11th-year head coach Heather Tarr. Washington has made nine overall Super Regional appearances and Coach Tarr is looking to lead the Huskies to the Women’s College World Series for the 5th time in 11 years. • Heather Tarr’s Career Record... 11th-year head coach Heather Tarr enters today’s game with a career record of 441-194-1 (.695). Tarr’s postseason record coming into today is 48-22 (.686). • All-Time Series History... The Huskies lead the all-time series vs. USC Upstate, 2-0. The Huskies and Spartans last met in Seattle at the Husky Classic on March 11-12, 2011, with the Huskies coming away with a pair of victories (10-2 (6), 10-7). • 1,000 Program Wins... With a 7-1 victory over Texas Tech earlier this season, Washington earned its 1,000 program win in its 23rd season as an NCAA sport. Teresa Wilson, head coach from 1993-2003, earned 532 wins, Scott Centala and Steve Dailey recorded 40 in 2004 and current head coach, Heather Tarr (2005-present) has 441 total wins. • On The Road... The Huskies are 25-11 (.694) when playing away from home this season. • Postseason Experience... The Huskies return 7 letterwinners from the 2014 team that went 37-15 and lost in Super Regionals against the eventual WCWS champions, Florida. • Breaking Records... The Huskies’ 446 runs scored this season broke the 20-year-old Washington record of 433 runs scored in 1995 (when head coach Heather Tarr was a sophomore on the team). With 405 total RBI this season, this potent offense also broke the record for most RBI in a single season. The previous record was 374 in 1996. The Dawgs also broke the record for most walks in a season, currently with 263 walks. The previous record was 251 in 2000. • National Numbers... The Huskies rank No. 5 in the nation in scoring (8.11), No. 5 in doubles per game (1.78), No. 8 in on-base percentage (.452), No. 12 in slugging percentage (.587), No. 13 in batting average (.348) and No. 18 in home runs per game (1.45).

Currently with 80 home runs this season, UW needs just four more to break the Husky record for most home runs in a single season. The current record is 84 in 2000. The Dawgs have hit a season-high four home runs in four games, three of those contests coming against Pac-12 foes. UW has recorded multiple home runs in 22 games and 10 players have hit at least one homer. Courtney Gano leads the team with 18, which is tied for sixth in the Husky record book for most home runs in a season. The Huskies’ 1.45 home runs per game ranks 18th nationally. • Leaders Of The Pac... The Dawgs lead the Pac-12 in: runs (446), RBI (406), doubles (98) and walks (263) and ranks second in total bases (883). • Doubles Machine... Aguilar continues to lead the Huskies offensively with a .425 average (77-for-181). She is currently second in the nation with 23 doubles, four shy of the Husky individual season record held by Sara Pickering (27 in 1997). Just a sophomore, Aguilar has 31 career doubles, six shy of cracking into the top-10 all-time at Washington. Nationally, Aguilar’s .44 doubles per game ranks second.

• Aguilar Leading The Pac... Aguilar leads the team and the Pac-12 in several categories: runs (63), doubles (23) and total bases (150) while ranking third with 77 hits. • Tablesetter... Kylee Lahners has reached base in 50 of 54 games this season. Her .558 on-base percentage leads the Pac-12 and ranks 15th in the nation. She has drawn a Pac-12 leading 54 walks which is 5th in the nation. • Discipline Lahners... Senior Kylee Lahners is batting .390 (60-for-154) for second best on the team. She moved into No. 4 all-time in the Husky record book with 127 career walks. She ranks No. 5 nationally with .98 walks per game and leads the Pac-12 with 54 this season. • Longball Lahners... Lahners launched her sixth home run of the season vs. Seattle U. to move into third all-time in Husky softball history. • Pair Of Grand Slams... Kimberlee Souza has hit two grand slams this season (April 2 vs. Stanford and May 3 vs. Oregon State. • Rankings…The Huskies are ranked No. 20 in both the USA Today/NFCA Poll and ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll. • Utah Series Recap... Washington is coming off a 1-1 series split in Salt Lake City vs. Utah. The Huskies dropped the first game, 12-1 before scoring three runs in the seventh to tie it up and eventually win, 7-5 in the second game. Freshman Julia DePonte hit a two-run home run in the ninth to give Washington their 40th win of the season. The series finale was cancelled due to rain. • Bats On Fire... Washington has posted double-digit hits in 30 games while scoring 10 or more runs 19 times this season. The Huskies rank No. 5 in the nation in scoring (8.11). • Team Effort... 10 batters are batting .300 or better on the season with one batting over .400 (Aguilar .425). With 80 home runs, 98 doubles and 11 triples, Washington is slugging .587 as a team which ranks 12th nationally. • Score First... UW is 21-5 when scoring in the first frame and 26-5 when scoring first this season. • Away Games... The Huskies are batting .360 in away games this season. • Freshman Impact... Freshman Taylor Van Zee is batting .363 (58-for-160). Her 58 hits is third-best on the squad and 47 RBI is fourth-best. • Senior Suguro... Senior Kelli Suguro is batting a career-best .370 average. She has already surpassed career highs in hits (57), RBI (31), runs (35) and home runs (5).

Extra Bases... Washington has outscored opponents 446-280 in large part due to great extra-base hitting. The Huskies have hit 98 doubles, 11 triples and 80 home runs in 55 games. In The Circle... Senior RHP Kasey Stanchek (13-7) owns a team-best 82 strikeouts this season. Her 137.1 innings pitched, 13 wins, eight complete games, two saves and 25 starts leads the staff. Stanchek earned the win vs. No. 2 Oregon (March 28), allowing two runs on five hits with two strikeouts and four walks through the first three innings. Hailey Bator (12-3) and Casey Stangel (9-4) have pitched 75.2 and 72.1 innings, respectively. No Hitter... Freshman pitcher Kristin Cochran threw the program’s 34th no-hitter on Feb. 28 against Howard, striking out two and walking two in a complete-game effort as the Huskies won 12-0 in five-innings. Preseason Rankings.... The Huskies debut at No. 11 in the NFCA preseason poll marked the 21st consecutive season that Washington has appeared in the preseason top 25. Washington was picked to finish third in the Pac-12 softball preseason coaches poll. The Huskies are ranked No. 20 (NFCA) and (ESPN.com/USA) in the latest polls. Kylee Lahners Named To Player Of The Year Watch List... Lahners was named to the Top 50 “Watch List” for the 2015 USA Softball Player of the Year. Last season, the Laguna Hills, Calif. native garnered Third-Team All-American honors, as well as First-Team All-Pacific Region and First-Team All-Pac-12 accolades after batting .346 with 17. Taylor Van Zee Named Top 25 Finalist For Freshman Of The Year... The Hemet, Calif. native made her collegiate debut at the UNLV Sportco Kick Off Classic (Feb. 6-8) and responded by going 8-for-16 with two doubles, one triple, a home run and six RBI. Two weeks later, Van Zee was named MVP of the Bank of Hawaii after going 8-for-14 with a double, home run and four RBI. She tallied her first collegiate home run in the first game of the season and has six so far in her freshman debut. Freshman Phenoms... In addition to Van Zee being named the MVP of the Bank of Hawaii Invitational, fellow freshman Krystal Aubert was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week after her performance in the Stanford series. Aubert led the Husky offense with a .833 batting average and 10 RBI. She recorded five hits and three home runs including her first career grand slam. Defensively, she started all three games in right field. Fresh Faces... The Huskies welcomed nine newcomers to this season’s roster including freshmen Krystal Aubert, Kelly Burdick, Kristin Cochran, Julia DePonte, Trysten Melhart, Kirstyn Thomas and Taylor Van Zee. Washington also welcomed sophomore transfer Casey Stangel and 5th year senior Kelly Meggs. Additionally, the Dawgs return Kimberlee Souza, a 62game starter in 2013 who medical redshirted last season. Hailey Bator, who also redshirted last season, made her debut in the Purple and Gold in 2015. 2015 SEASON HONORS Bank of Hawaii All-Tournament Team Graduating Huskies... - Coach Tarr is in her 11th season as the head coach of Washington Softball in 2015. This season, she has led the Huskies to their 22nd consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and 11th straight in her career at Washington. Last season under her leadership, she led the Huskies to their ninth Super Regional appearance. Coach Tarr has guided Washington to four Women’s College World Series (2007, 2009 National Champions, 2010, 2013). - In 2014, the Huskies lost to the eventual WCWS champions Florida in Super Regionals. - In 2013, the Huskies compiled a record of 45-17 and finished third at the WCWS. - Coach Tarr owns a postseason record of 48-22 (.686) and guided the Huskies to their first national championship in program history in 2009, finishing with a record of 51-12 (.810). - Named head coach of the Huskies on July 6, 2004. Was a four-year letterwinner as a third baseman at Washington from 1994-1997 and graduated from Washington with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography in 1998. She earned her Masters Degree in Education from Pacific in 2003. A native of Redmond, Wash., Tarr graduated from Redmond High School. Married to J.T. D’Amico.

2015 assistant coaches J.T. D’AMICO | ASSISTANT COACH J.T. enters his seventh season on the Washington coaching staff in 2015. D’Amico’s primary responsibility on the coaching staff is serving as the Defensive Coordinator. In 2013 Washington’s defense ranked 2nd nationally in fielding percentage. D’Amico has tutored two conference Defensive Player of the Year award recipients, Shawna Wright in 2013 and Jenn Salling in 2011. As head coach of the USSSA Pride of the National Pro Fastpitch League Pride in 2013, J.T. led the team to the NPF championship. Former Husky players Ashley Charters, Nikia Williams and Jenn Salling helped guide the team to the NPF title. J.T. first joined the Washington coaching staff for the 2009 season, helping the Huskies to the National Championship. He was a part of the staff that was awarded the National Coaching Staff of the Year by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association in 2009.

ASHLEY ANDREWS | ASSISTANT COACH Ashley Andrews, an Olympia, Wash., native comes to UW after spending the last six years as a player and graduate assistant at the University of Tennessee. Andrews was a four-year starter for the Lady Vols at shortstop and catcher. She was part of two teams that advanced to the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City. While completing her master’s degree in sports psychology, she served as a graduate assistant the last two years at UT under Ralph and Karen Weekly. Initially, Andrews, who attended Tumwater (Wash.) High, will work with the UW outfielders and assist pitching coach Mike Roberts with the catchers and battery development. She will also assist Tarr in recruiting.

MIKE ROBERTS| ASSISTANT COACH Mike Roberts joined the Washington softball program as the pitching and catching coach in July. Roberts comes to Seattle from the University of Oregon, where he spent the 2014 season as the Ducks’ pitching coach. Roberts helped the Ducks to a 56-9-1 overall record, a 20-3-1 Pac-12 mark and the conference title. Under Roberts’ leadership, the Ducks led the Pac-12 with a 1.82 earned run average while Oregon pitchers held the Nos. 2 and 3 spots in the individual rankings for ERA. Under his tutelage, Oregon’s Cheridan Hawkins was named Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year in 2014. Prior to joining the staff at Oregon, Roberts spent three seasons coaching the pitchers and catchers at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Roberts, an accomplished pitcher in his own right, won two ASA national titles, an ISF Junior World Title, eight New Zealand national championships, an NAFA Triple-A North American crown and an Australian state title as a pitcher.
