Fourth Season at Lincoln University of Massachusetts (Amherst) ‘03 (16-64, Overall Record at Lincoln)

Amber Sneed is entering her fourth year as a the Head Volleyball Coach at Lincoln University. Under Coach Sneed's direction, the volleyball program has seen great improvement. Lincoln earned their first trip to the CIAA Volleyball Championships in 2015. Her squad went 5-11 in CIAA play leading the conference in digs per set (16.10), ranked sixth in solo blocks (42), and seventh in digs (1079). The Lady Lions' volleyball program went from 1-27 in 2011 to 4-17 in Sneed's first season back in 2012. In 2013, Sydney Cook was named to the All-CIAA Volleyball Second Team after leading the CIAA in average digs per set with 4.43 and ranked eighth in total digs with 248 as the Lions starting libero. Cook became the first volleyball player at Lincoln University to earn a spot on the All-CIAA Volleyball Rookie Team in 2012. She played in 63 games for the Lady Lions recording a team-best 222 digs, averaging 3.52 digs per game. Prior to coming to Lincoln, Sneed, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio was an assistant varsity basketball coach at Winton Woods High School and worked with girls and boys, with basketball skill training for the last four years. A four-year letterman at the University of Massachusetts (Amherst), Sneed received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Marketing and Sales. After college, she went on the play professional basketball overseas in Viernheim, Germany 2003-2004, and semi-professional basketball for the Ohio Legends 2005. Before entering her third professional season, Sneed had career-ending injury. After suffering the injury, she helped with the development program for girls and boys in the Tristate Cincinnati Area with School tutoring and mentoring, public speaking to athletes, life skills off the court and basketball skill improvement on the court. Sneed graduated from Princeton High School, where she was a four-year letterman in volleyball and basketball. She was noted as a top-10 post player in Ohio and was named First-Team All-Ohio for both volleyball and basketball.
