oin the conversation on the future of affordable senior housing at this year’s LeadingAge California Senior Housing Conference. The two-day conference will feature presentations about the newest developments in Housing with Services, an executive-level roundtable discussion about current trends in housing, and a federal policy update from HUD. Education sessions will be targeted for executives, administrators, service coordinators and maintenance professionals.
Tuesday, October 13 – 10:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. • Housing Executive Session LeadingAge California President and CEO, Joanne Handy will lead this executivelevel roundtable discussion regarding emerging trends and issues in the affordable senior housing field. • Networking Lunch • Future of Housing Services Alisha Sanders, Director of the LeadingAge Center for Housing Plus Services, will lead participants through the dialogue on the future of service enriched housing. • Housing + Healthcare Partnerships Conference guests will hear a presentation about the pioneering partnership between MidPen Housing and the Health Plan of San Mateo to provide onsite care to vulnerable seniors living in affordable housing. • Tour of Half Moon Bay Village followed by a Wine & Cheese Reception

• Senate Joint Resolution 11 expresses support for housing with services. • Assembly Bill 523 allows HCD to reduce interest rates on MHP loans in certain instances. • Two PILOT Fee bills including Senate Bill 1203 and LeadingAge California sponsored Assembly Bill 1760, which void future PILOT Fee contracts and protect the welfare tax exemption for non-profit developers of affordable housing. • Assembly Joint Resolution 8 calls on Congress to fully fund the Older Americans Act. • Legislature approves $100 million in funding for the Multi-family Housing Program. • Legislature approves $130 million for the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities Program.
