2016/2017 Scholarship Application Requirements All applicants must be enrolled for the 2016/2017 academic year in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design. Review the eligibility requirements and additional application materials needed for each award or scholarship listed on pages 2-3 of this document.

2016/2017 Scholarships, Awards, & Internships NOTE: The scholarships and their amounts listed on pages 2 and 3 are from last year’s figures. The availability of the funds for 2016/2017 is still to be determined. Financial Aid will release the final award amounts in mid to late April; the Scholarship Committee will grant scholarships based on this finalized data. GPAs are determined by official data provided by Financial Aid.

Carson Starkey Memorial Scholarship Julia and Scott Starkey established this scholarship in memory of their son Carson, an architectural engineering student who passed away in 2008. Carson’s parents intend for his memory to live on in two scholarships: one focused on need and one focused on merit.

Dr. Glenn G. McRae Internship This award is a paid internship, and is offered to rekindle the caring spirit so aptly demonstrated by Dr. McRae during his counseling career at Cal Poly and his assignment to work with CAED students. The recipient of this internship will provide a p p r o x i m a t e l y 40 hours of work during the 16/17 academic year to the CAED, under the direction of the Dean’s Office. Herbert E. Collins Scholarship This scholarship is made possible through a generous endowment to the university in honor of Julian A. McPhee, the first president of Cal Poly.
Robin L. Rossi Award This award is part of a series of opportunities provided by the donor. It is given in recognition of exceptional professional promise, achievement and personal need, and is offered in the spirit of assisting a deserving student when most needed. Alice C. Loh Scholarship This scholarship was established to recognize women’s contributions in environmental design. All students are eligible, regardless of gender.
