2016  Family  Camp  Itinerary   Friday   6:00  PM    

 

Arrival  &  Check-­‐In  Begins   Check-­‐in  at  Winter  Lodge’s  lobby  lounge,  settle  into  your   accommodations,  and  enjoy  camp  grounds.  

7:30  PM    

Session  1  (childcare  available  for  ages  0-­‐4)   Throughout  the  weekend,  experience  our  six  chapel  sessions   designed  specifically  to  help  families  grow  closer  to  God  and   closer  to  each  other.  Combining  worship  and  an  interactive   devotional  time,  these  sessions  will  be  sure  to  have  the  whole   family  having  fun  and  focusing  on  God.     Childcare  for  those  under  5  years  old  is  available  in  Winter  Lodge,   beginning  15  minutes  before  each  session.  

8:45  PM  

                     Campfire  with  Snacks  and  S’mores   Join  us  at  our  fire  pit  in  front  of  Twin  Sisters  Peaks  as  we  enjoy   snacks,  fellowship,  and  family  fun  in  the  mountains.

Breakfast  

 

Meals  at  Covenant  Heights  are  served  buffet-­‐style,  with  family-­‐style   dining.  During  breakfast,  fruit,  yogurt,  and  cereal  are  provided   alongside  the  hot  course  options.  During  lunch  and  dinner  a  full   salad  bar  will  be  available  in  addition  to  a  variety  of  dishes.   9:00  AM    

Session  2  (childcare  available  for  ages  0-­‐4)  

10:15  AM  

Family  Scavenger  Hunt   Saturday  morning  will  include  the  family  scavenger  hunt.  You  and   your  family  will  have  the  opportunity  to  search  for  clues,  solve   puzzles,  and  complete  challenges  all  over  camp.  Different  difficulty   levels  will  be  available  and  each  family  may  choose  the  path  that   best  fits  them.

Saturday  Free  Time   Free  Times  are  a  chance  to  relax,  enjoy  camp  and  the  surrounding   areas,  and  bond  as  a  family.  There  will  be  activities  provided  on   camp  such  as  archery,  zip-­‐line,  climbing  wall,  and  more.  Activities   can  be  enjoyed  as  a  family  or  kids  can  join  the  supervised  activities   while  parents  take  some  time  to  themselves.  Spend  these  times   however  you  prefer,  enjoying  your  afternoons.

Session  3  (childcare  available  for  ages  0-­‐4)  

6:00  PM  

Parents’  Night  Out  &  Dinner   For  dinner  we  will  be  encouraging  the  adults  to  head  down  to  town   for  dinner  at  a  local  restaurant  while  we  take  care  of  the  kids  (and   feed  them  pizza!).  There  will  be  movies  on  camp  for  ages  5-­‐18  as   well  as  childcare  for  kids  0-­‐4.  Teens  14+  (who  are  not  interested  in   a  movie  night)  and  young  adults  will  have  the  chance  to  try  out  our   high  ropes  course  &  crate-­‐stacking  challenge.    

8:45  PM    

Night  Game   Join  us  at  8:45  for  a  kids’  night  game  in  the  woods.  Parents  are   welcome  to  join  their  kids  in  this  classic  camp  event.

Session  4  (childcare  available  for  ages  0-­‐4)  

10:15  AM    

Family  Relay  Race   On  Sunday  morning,  families  will  have  the  chance  to  participate  in   the  family  relay  race.  With  events  all  around  camp  and  activities  fit   for  all  ages,  you  and  your  family  are  sure  to  have  a  blast!

Session  5  (childcare  available  for  ages  0-­‐4)

Cookout  &  Carnival   Sunday  dinner  will  be  a  cookout  at  the  Pavilion  with  carnival   activities  throughout  the  evening.  Try  out  the  bounce  houses,   barrel  train,  and  hamster  wheel  or  join  in  the  volleyball  and  gaga   ball  tournaments!  

8:45  PM    

Family  Game  Night   After  the  cookout,  enjoy  ice  cream  sundaes  and  board  games  to   close  out  the  night.

Breakfast    

Session  6  (childcare  available  for  ages  0-­‐4)   The  final  chapel  session  will  mark  the  end  of  our  family  camp   weekend.  However,  Covenant  Heights  invites  you  and  your   family  to  stay  for  as  long  as  you  want  on  Monday  to  enjoy  camp   and  the  surrounding  areas.
