GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION Sienna Spirit All-Star Prep Cheerleading Program is for girls and boys, 4-13 years old. It is a low-key, introductory format to competitive cheerleading. Teams practice each week on routines that are developed under USASF guidelines. The routines involve basic cheerleading and gymnastics skills which novice cheerleaders enjoy learning. The teams will compete in approximately 4 competitions in the Houston/Galveston area, focusing on positive team work, achieving team and personal goals, all in a family-friendly environment. SUMMER PRACTICE (May-August): During the summer the squads will work on new stunts, pyramids, jumps and tumbling that their routine will be composed of. Starting in September, they will begin learning the dance and sequence of the 2-minute routine that they will compete in the 2017-2018 season. CHOREOGRAPHY CAMP Choreography camp will be on Friday, August 18th, Saturday, August 19th, and Sunday, August 20th. We are hiring a professional choreographer this year. We will have a full weekend of camp. Please make sure you have these dates and times on your calendar. Team camp time is below: Diamonds DATE TIME th Friday, August 18 3:00PM-6:00PM Saturday, August 19th 10:00AM-2:00PM Sunday, August 20th 1:00PM-4:30PM *I completely understand that Friday is going to be hard for Diamonds’ parents who work 8-5. I suggest carpooling and I will also help out to ensure everyone can be there on time. Platinum DATE TIME th Friday, August 18 6:00PM-9:00PM Saturday, August 19th 2:00PM-7:00PM Sunday, August 20th 4:30PM-8:30PM Choreography camp is MANDATORY for all team members. There is a possibility we will be done early on Sunday but I cannot guarantee it. PAYMENTS: 1. Tuition payments will be charged the first of each month to the credit card on file. 2. Any rejected or charge back payments will have a $25 late fee. 3. All other payments (competitions and uniforms) that are not received on their due dates will automatically be charged to the credit card on file. 4. Your child will not be allowed to participate in class if your account is not paid by the third week of class. 5. Any child with an outstanding balance, will not be able to compete. 6. Any class cancellation must be in writing and presented by the 15th of the month to avoid the next month’s tuition charge. ATTIRE Practice uniforms will be required. The practice uniform must be worn to all practices to help unify the team and to help coaches see the team as one unit. Cheer shoes should be worn to all practices. Summer practice tank/shirt is $20 and due on the day of registration and practice uniform for the fall will be $65 and is due August 15th. If practice uniform is lost or ruined, you will be required to purchase a new one. 1. All jewelry should be removed before the start of class. 2. Students need to tie back long hair. 3. Absolutely no jeans.

COMMITMENT AND ATTENDANCE It is very important to remember that cheerleading is a team sport. Every child has a "job" or part in the routine and when your child is absent from a practice/performance/competition a large part of the routine cannot be done. This is not only frustrating as a coach, but for the other children involved who are at practice/performances/competitions and are trying their hardest. Please remember that there is a team of other girls who are counting on your child to be at practice and competitions. If your child has an unexcused absence in the two weeks prior to a competition or performance they will not be able to participate in that competition or performance. No exceptions. UNIFORM & PRACTICE WEAR FITTING Fitting will be Tuesday, August 15th. Team fitting time is below: Diamonds 6:30 PM- 7:30 PM Platinum 7:30 PM- 8:30 PM *You can come anytime during your teams scheduled hour however, it’s first come first serve. A Varsity representative will be measuring and have the girls try on samples to get an accurate sizing. FUNDRAISING Fundraising to help offset the cost of uniforms, competition fees and tuition is highly encouraged. An email with fundraising opportunities will be sent out soon. Cost: $100 – Due Nov. 15th 3-25-18 Cheer America Championships-Nationals Galveston Convention Center Cost: $100 – Due Jan. 15th *Please note that the competition and date are subject to change 4

TRAVELING As discussed in the previous parent meeting, the decision was made to accept bids every other year, so we will accept a bid on the even number competition year. For the 2017-2018 season, if the Diamonds and/or Platinum team receives a bid for The One Finals, we will accept. The dates for The One have not been released. Once they are I will let everyone know so we can all be prepared in the event a bid is granted. This means there is a possibility there will be a 5th competition that will not be in the Houston area. TEAM BONDING It is very important for the girls to get to know each other and bond before the season begins. There will be some fun events planned for the girls before and throughout the season to help them bond and grow as a team. A team mom will be contacting you and letting you know when the first event will be. COMMUNICATION I communicate mainly via email ([email protected]), so please make sure that I have a valid email address that you check often. Also, news will be posted on the website siennaspirit.com so please check the website periodically.

2017-2018 Sienna Spirit All Star Cheerleading Policies I have read and understand all of the following policies and charges. 1.
