MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS VOLLEYBALL (For girls grades rising 5 thru 8) Fee: $150 Program held at DMS April 25-June 1 (Tue & Thur: Gr 5&6: 3:30-5pm, Gr 7&8: 5-6:30pm) This program will focus on skills, drills, game play, court sense and fun! Each age group will be split into developmentally appropriate levels. Instructor: Pam Thomas, DHS Girls Varsity Volleyball coach.

APRIL VACATION BASEBALL CLINIC (For boys and girls ages 8-12) Fee: $75 Program held at the Tarkiln Baseball Field April 18-21 (T-F, 10am-12noon) Emphasis will be on a combination of skill development and fun. Coaching staff includes camp Director Steve Studley, Assistant Recreation Director, Coach for Wentworth College Baseball Team, as well as counselors from local colleges and high school.

ICE SKATING (All ages) Fee: $155 (Price includes Annual LTSUSA Registration fee) Program held at The Bog in Kingston www.bogiceskating.ccom These 7 week, introduction to skating lessons consist of a 40-minute lesson and 10 minute practice. Please bring fitted and sharpened skates, hockey or bike helmet, hat, sweat pants, and gloves to each class. Available dates and times are available as follows: Tuesdays

EARLY BIRD BOOTCAMP (For women ages 18+) Fee: $65/Session Program held at Tarkiln Community Center March Session: 3/2-3/30, April Session: 4/4/-4/27, May Session: 5/4-5/25 Tues & Thurs 5:30-6:30am

Start your day with a full body workout! This class incorporates cardio, strength training, and core exercises to work all your major muscle groups and burn tons of calories! All fitness levels welcome! Bring a yoga mat and dumbbells to each class.

HORSEBACK RIDING (For boys and girls ages 6+ as adults) Fee: $140 Program held at Timber Hill Stables, 181 Brookdale St., Kingston www.timberhillstable.com Month of May Days/Times available: Mon: 4:00, 4:30 Tues: 5:00 Thurs: 3:00, 3:30, 4:00, 4:30, 5:00 This 4 week, 30 min weekly lesson is an introduction to horseback. Licensed instructors and veteran horses start the riders with basic horseback riding skills, including balance, strength and coordination. Continued study is possible after completion of the program.

ADULT TENNIS (For adults ages 18+) Fee: $85 Program held at the Alden Street Courts May 1 – May 24 Monday and Wednesdays Beginner:10-11am Adv Beginner/Intermediate: 11am-12noon Experience the fun and excitement of tennis as you acquire and develop new playing skills and meet new tennis playing friends. Sharing the experience can make it more enjoyable so invite a friend to join you on the court and learn tennis together!

TINY TIGERS (ages 2.5-5), LITTLE NINJAS (ages 6-8) & JUNIOR NINJAS (ages 9-12) Fee: $65 Program held at American Cadre Karate, RK Crossing in Kingston • www.americancadrekarate.com Month of May Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays (Tiny Tigers only on Fri) or Saturdays Tiny Tigers: Weekdays 4:30-5pm, Friday 4:15-4:45, Saturdays 9:30-10am Little Ninjas & Junior Ninjas: Weekdays 5-5:45pm, Saturdays 10-10:45am This is an introductory program designed to teach fitness, balance and coordination while learning introductory karate skills.

WOMENS SELF DEFENSE Fee: $65 Program held at American Cadre Karate, RK Crossing in Kingston • www.americancadrekarate.com Month of May Saturdays 10:45-11:30am This 4-week program is for women ages 15 and up and is designed to teach women the importance of selfdefense. Women will learn basic kicking and punching, self-awareness, and ways to escape from different common grabs and attacks.

(Tues @ Duxbury Beach, 9:30am-2:30pm) 7-WEEK: June 26-August 11 4-WEEK : June 26-July 21 3-WEEK: July 24-August 11 The ever popular Kids Summer Program is a full day program that includes weekly field trips, beach day at Duxbury Beach, daily arts & crafts, sports and games. (Tuition includes cost of field trips with transportation).

27TH ANNUAL BASKETBALL CLINIC (For boys & girls grades rising 5 thru 9) Fee: $225 Program held at DHS, DMS & Alden Gyms Boys: July 10 – July 14 (M-F: 8:30am-2:30pm) NEW! WE ARE BRINGING BACK THE GIRLS CLINIC!

Girls: July 17-21 (M-F 8:30am-2:30pm) NOTE: Minimum registrations must be met by 6/1 or this program will be cancelled. This popular program is back once again for the summer. Focus is on drills, games, and fun! All participants receive a t-shirt. Coaching staff includes camp Director, Gordon Cushing, Recreation Director and DHS Varsity Basketball Coach, as well as college and high school players.

20TH ANNUAL SOCCER CLINIC (For boys and girls ages 6-10) Fee: $85 Program held at Lower Alden Fields June 26 – June 29 (Mon-Thur 8am-11am) Emphasis will be on skill development and the fun of soccer. Director: Richard Henninger. Counselors include college and high school players.

TENNIS CLINIC

(For boys and girls ages 8-14)

Fee: $150 Program held at DHS Tennis Courts June 26-30 (Monday thru Friday: 8am-12noon) Emphasis will be on conditioning, individual ball skills and fun! Coaching staff includes camp Director Craig Drilling, Director of Athletics at Brandon Hall School in Atlanta, Ga., as well as counselors from local colleges and high school.

MINI DRAGONS SOCCER CLINIC (For boys and girls ages 4-5) Fee: $125 Program held at Lincoln St. field June 26-29 (Mon-Thurs) 9-11am This program is fun introduction to the game of soccer where children are taught footwork, passing, dribbling, and shooting in addition to playing games.

KIDS TENNIS LESSONS (For boys and girls ages 8-14) Fee: $95 Program held at Alden St. tennis courts Week of July 10th thru week of August 14th (Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs between 8am-12noon) A low key, fun tennis program where children are grouped by ability–Beginner through Advanced. 1-hour lessons are held twice a week.

FIELD HOCKEY CLINIC (For girls rising grades 5 thru 8) Fee: $100 Program held at Taylor field July 10-13 (M-Th) 9am-11:00am Players will work on field hockey skills while also working on agility and conditioning. Emphasis on skillbuilding, training and fun! Instructor: DHS coach Caitlan Sheehan as well as well as counselors from local colleges and high school.

SKILLS & WILL (For boys and girls grades rising 4-12) Fee: $150/session Program held at Alden Gym Week of June 27th thru August 1st These programs are designed for working on basketball fundamentals, functional training, and game performance. Structured games will be a part of each session to allow the player to build upon newly developed skills. Instructor: BILLY CURLEY, former DHS state champion, Boston College Hall of Famer, retired NBA veteran, and current head coach of the boys varsity basketball team at Emerson College. SMALL BALL (For boys and girls grades rising grades 1-4 (ages 6-9) Fee: $150 For boys and girls grades rising grades 1-4 (ages 6-9) Program held at DHS gym July 25 – July 27 (Tuesday thru Thursday 9am-12noon) Small Ball is a fun introduction to the game of basketball. IMPORTANT INFORMATION 1. How to Register: Register online or in person at the Rec office (22 Washington St.). All registrations are processed through Activenet, our registration software. All participants must have an account in order to sign up. Note: You are not registered for any program until payment has been received. 2. The Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel/change any program. 3. Registrations are done on a first-come-first-served basis. We cannot take registrations over the phone.

5. The Recreation Department reserves the right to limit the number of participants to any program. 6. Processing fee charged for online registrations is non-refundable. 7. Refunds given only if notified up to 5 business days prior to the first day of a program or activity. A $10 administrative fee will be charged for processing the refund. If a program is cancelled by the Rec Dept, a full refund will be issued and no fee will be charged. 8. Children must meet age requirements prior to the start of any program.

4. Any late fees collected are non-refundable.
