Coach’s Message Thank you for your interest in supporting the Fighting Dutchmen Gridiron Club.
Union College Football has a proud and rich tradition as one of the nation’s oldest and most successful collegiate football programs. It has produced outstanding young men through their fine work in the classroom and community as well as in their successes on the gridiron. Through the efforts and contributions of the Gridiron Club it is possible for our student-athletes to have a positive and meaningful experience. I hope that you consider renewing your membership or joining the Fighting Dutchmen Gridiron Club and becoming part of our exciting future. I truly appreciate your support. Fire The Cannon!

President’s Message Dear FDGC Members, This past season was a display of great progress both on and off the field. We are looking to add to that momentum as we head into the 2018 season. Two things I would like to highlight in particular for the coming year are the change back to an in-season golf outing. The 18th annual Dick Roberts Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled to take place Friday, October 12th before the Ithaca game. In addition, we will be kicking off a new Mentor Program to provide insight and direction to each student-athlete over the course of their four years at school. Young Football Alumni will serve as sounding boards and general advisors for any issues the students may have, be it football, academic, or career related. The strength of our football alumni network is our greatest asset and this will allow current players to take full advantage of it. As I stated last year, one of the biggest things I have noticed is the small number of former players that donate on a regular basis. Fortunately, we have been able to raise a significant amount of money year in and year out from a handful of people. However, it is obvious that if we can ALL give a small amount, our fundraising could increase significantly. We have an incredible number of former players, almost 1,600 currently, and if we can all find some way to give anything, $25, $50, $100 (no donation is too small) we can really come together and give back to a program that gave us so much, ensuring it remains competitive at a level we can all be proud of. I encourage everyone to come out to our annual events in Boston, New York City, and on campus this spring in Schenectady, to hear from Coach Behrman and learn about the new and exciting initiatives we are taking on as a club. As always, your support is very much appreciated. Thank you to everyone who participated last year and those who plan to get involved in 2018. Fire The Cannon!
