2018 ALLEGHENY COLLEGE TRACK & FIELD PROSPECT CAMPS THROWS/HORIZONTAL JUMPS JUNE 9, JUNE 16
ABOUT THE CAMP The Allegheny College Track & Field Prospect Camp is a oneday, invitation-only event for track & field athletes looking to compete at the collegiate level. This is also the first step in being recruited by the Allegheny College track & field program. The camp is designed to provide the athlete with high level instruction in the areas of throws, long jump, triple jump, sprints, and hurdles. The programming will include technical work through college level drills and skill instruction, as well as event specific practice sessions, with coaching instruction from both the power/speed coaches and athletes. In addition to a campus tour, there will be a question and answer session with current athletes on the Allegheny team. Lastly, there will be a full tour of campus with lunch provided in between.

The Allegheny College Men’s and Women’s track & field program has a history of excellence and tradition unlike any other in Western Pennsylvania. Since the 1984 formation of the North Coast Athletic Conference, the Gator track and field program has won 36 conference team championships between indoor and outdoor, men and women combined. Over that span, Allegheny athletes have earned a total of 72 All-America honors, awarded to the top eight finishers at the NCAA Track & Field Championships. The program is also one of few in NCAA Division III with a former Olympian in Jeremy Scott, who competed in the pole vault competition at the 2012 London Olympics. This rich culture makes us one of the most successful programs in both the conference and region. The Gators also excel in the classroom, consistently achieving a team GPA of 3.1 or higher, among the highest for any team or organization on campus.
