hard being flat when people laughed at him. One day he went camping with his family, the Lambchops. His mother told Stanley and his brother Arthur to go and explore. Stanley and Arthur got into danger but Stanley used his flat body to save the day. After that Stanley realised that being flat was cool. By Molly Hepting (You should buy this book!)
Primary Futures Half of Year 4 took part in a Primary Futures Event whereby we have been able to ask volunteers to come in to school to talk about their jobs. The children took part in a ‘What’s My Line?’ activity to try and guess what jobs the volunteers did and then spent time with each person to find out about what they did. We were very lucky to have Bobby George – the darts player, Emma Birchley – a regional Sky News Reporter and Charles Horsey who is an Engineer and currently works for the London Underground. Amongst many conversations, the volunteers also pointed out the use of Maths and English, they learnt at school, in their jobs. The children were very enthused and asked some very good questions. The Year 4 children who were not in this session will be able to attend the next session being held in a few weeks time. Mrs Doran

Sprites VS Cliff Lane On Tuesday 17th May, the girls football team played against Cliff Lane. The first half began and kicked off brilliantly with 1 goal. Following soon after, another 3 good goals came quickly in the first half. The second half began and it was a hard one. We kept battling until we got another one but Cliff Lane started becoming more focused and ready to get their first goal in. The half went so quickly no one was able to get another goal! Well done to Sprites winning 4-0 with Caitlin scoring 3 and Naomi scoring 1. By Caitlin Curtis and Cadence Irving Sports Journalists

School Money We would like to remind everyone that it is now possible to pay for school dinners and trips online at www.schoolmoney.co.uk. A school dinner for one day costs £2.30.
