Block Assembly

1. Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the pink C squares.

3. Sew an A triangle to each unit completed in step 2. Press the seam away from the triangle. Repeat to make a total of 4. A

2. Position the square right sides together on one end of the green B strips. Sew on the line. Trim 1/4” away from the stitching and press the triangle toward the corner. Make 4.

4. Sew the units into pairs. Press the seam toward the green strip. Repeat to make a total of 2, then sew the pairs together to make 1.

5. Trim the corners of the green strips and square the block to 8 1/4” x 8 1/4” (or desired size).

Block Assembly

1. Sew a blue floral D to the end of a blue E. Press the seam toward E. Make 2.

4. Sew the units from Step 2 and 3 together as illustrated. Press the seam away from the D strip. Make 2.

2. Sew an A strip to a D/E unit. Press the seam toward the A strip. Make 2. 5. Sew the remaining 2 1/8” squares into a row in the order show. Press the seams toward the Blue E squares.

3. Sew a C strip to the remaining 2 D strips. Press the seam toward the C strip.

6. Sew the three sections together and press the seams away from the center. Trim to 8 1/4” x 8 1/4”.

5. Arrange the half square triangles and the units made in step 2 and sew them into rows. Press the seams away from the half square triangles. Make 2.

6. Sew the rows together. Press the seams toward the center strip. Trim the completed block to 8 1/4” x 8 1/4” square. 3. Sew a C square to each D square. Press the seams toward D. Make 4.
