The Thoroughbreds couldn’t overcome a cold-shooting night, as they shot 35 percent from the floor and 13 percent (4-of-30) from deep, while the home team shot 37 and 25 percent (5-of-20), respectively. Even after the loss to Bard, Union owns a positive scoring margin of 7.8, outscoring opponents by an average of 76.4 points to 68.6 points. On the season, the Raptors are shooting 48 percent form the floor, 38 percent from distance and 79 percent from the line, while holding opponents to 41, 33 and 68 percent, respectively. Brewer bio on... Chris gallivan
Chris Gallivan has been able to provide sparks for the Brewers throughout the season, averaging 3.3 points and 1.7 rebounds over his 20 games played. The sophomore has found the bottom of the net in 15 games so far on the campaign, scoring a season-high nine points twice against Elmira College on Nov. 26 and Hobart College on Jan. 7. Gallivan also grabbed a season-best five boards twice against Wesleyan University on Dec. 7 and in that game against the Statesmen. Prior to Vassar, Gallivan letter two years in basketball at Walpole High School. Gallivan plans to graduate from Vassar with a degree in computer science. The East Walpole, MA native is the son of Barbara and Paul and brother to Mike (24), who played basketball at RPI, and Tim (21), who played at Wesleyan.
