A Call to Prayer Tom and Michele February 16, 2017
A Colaborer Abducted Kidnapping On Monday afternoon, Rey was surrounded by a number of vehicles and forcibly taken out of his car. Pray for his safety. We don't know who took him, but are certain it is because of his ministry. Pray for grace for his wife and children during this difficult time.
Studies Started and New Friends Gained

In the last month we have been able to capitalize on opportunities recently gained. We have started three evangelistic studies. We are studying with Yani and Rio, a group of internationals from Iran and Bangladesh, and JJ, a young man Tom met in a local clinic. JJ has accepted the Lord and we are continuing in the chronological teaching. Stanley has begun helping me teach Rio and Yani. He is nervous, but excited, to teach an evangelistic study for the first time. In addition to these studies, Noras and I have started discipling a man from Sudan together. Thanks so much for praying.
Tom has also met new friends while hiking local mountains. Last Sunday, he spent the day with a whole new host of friends. He talked freely about various aspects of our faith. Also, he is ministering to Alfred, a young English teacher. Alfred has so many questions. He is the most open person he has met from the majority people here. We have met three times and he never runs out out questions. Also pray for healing for his mother who has stage four cervical cancer. In their desperation, they have visited a local spirit (bad) healer.

Prayer Requests Pray for our discipleship of Mike, Noras, Cathy, Stanley, Adam and family, Reza, Gideon, etc. Pray for their protection in light of Raymond's kidnapping. Pray for the three new evangelistic studies that have started. Two have firmly begun, one is a bit tentative yet. Pray for Jack and Daphne. Daphne's father just passed away. Pray for comfort and that the word of God would spread through them on Borneo. PTL that Tom was able to go hiking with this new group. Pray for openness. Pray for Alfred's salvation and healing for his mom of cancer. The home seminary is going well. Tom is teaching the Gospel of John, Acts and Romans in the next weeks. Pray for Michele as she continues to teach English, lead English club and do speech therapy. Our relationships with the children and parents continue to grow. We have made progress with the visas needed for Filipinos to join us. By God's grace they will arrive in June. Love in Him, Tom and Michele
