Adam and Eve Take-Home Sheet for Parents What Your Child Learned this Week: Adam was the first man who was created by God from the dust of the ground. The first woman, Eve was created as a companion to Adam and made from his rib. They were given a beautiful garden to work and live in called Eden. What I Can Do at Home With my Child: Practice this memory verse with your child: “God created male and female in his own image.”~ Genesis 1: 27 Discuss these ideas with your child: Who made Adam and Eve? What job did the Lord give to the first people? What part of the Garden of Eden do you think would be the most interesting to see? Would it be the animals, the flowers, or all the delicious fruit trees? Family Fun: Do some gardening as a family like Adam and Eve were commanded to do. If you don’t have a place in your yard to grow plants, try raising some herbs in a windowsill, or plant some beans or tomatoes in large pots outside your door. Talk about God’s command to Adam and all people to work the land and care for it.
