Locker rooms: Limited number of lockers, No outside locks can be used, must purchase a lock $5 through the High School AD, when the lock is returned the $5 will be reimbursed. Large backpacks, instruments, etc are recommended to be stored on the bleachers during practice in plain view. Do NOT bring valuables to the pool, not responsible for lost, damage, or missing items.

Equipment: You are responsible for your own things. Write your name on EVERYTHING, there is no lost and found.

Travel Round Trip: Some of our away meets will require traveling on a bus as a team. If the competition is greater than 25 miles away the bus travel will be round trip. Parents can pick up their kids at AGS middle school after the competition is over. Athletes are encourage to ride the bus back to school after a competition since we are a TEAM. Exceptions can be made but must be made in advance using the “permission to ride” form from the AD. One-Way: If the meet takes place at a school less than 25 miles away, the bus will only take the athletes to the competition and the parents must pick them up. Athletes cannot ride home with other parents unless a “Automobile Liability Insurance Form” is filled out. Currently Scheduling busses and this information will be provided on the up-dated Calendar on the fentonathletics.org website along with alerts for reminding, when we get closer to the meets.

Season-at-a-glance 8 weeks is not a long time, and will go by faster than you will believe. Roughly 30 practices with 10 swim meets. 4-Away dual meets (See Travel) 4-Home dual meets (volunteers needed) 2-League Meets (1 away, 1 home). MHSAA rules state that 6th graders can only swim exhibition. Can not compete against 7th & 8th graders which means they might not be going to each meet. Please plan on going, coaches will notify swimmers of the line-up.

Absence: Swimmers are expected to make every practice and meet. If you know you will be absent, please write a note (don’t forget your name, date, reason). This note is from You, not a parent. You are on this team, not mom or dad.

Emergencies: If you are sick or an emergency arises – Call Coach Hill (734)972-7349. If no one answers leave a message. Do not: ask a teammate to tell us, and don’t leave a message with the athletic office or general office – We won’t get them.

Emergency Procedure: 1. Keep athlete still, comfortable and reassured. 2. When in doubt, do not move an injured athlete. 3. Send someone to call for an ambulance. 4. Send someone for the athletic trainer 5. Contact the school’s AD or school administrator
