ALEXANDER ROSSI Alexander Rossi is an elite athlete and a very accomplished professional race car driver and is currently the only American in Formula 1™. Alexander has spent the past two seasons in the role of reserve driver for the Caterham F1™ Team, whilst also competing in the GP2 Series. He was recently appointed to the role of Official Reserve Driver for the Marussia F1™ team and will be on hand throughout the season to deputise for either race driver in the event that they are unable to compete. Alexander’s resume coupled with his dedication to his profession find him placed for a full time F1™ race seat in 2015. Alexander is highly marked by the motorsport industry as the next successful American in F1™, since Mario Andretti in 1978. Alexander has won at every level since his racing career began in go‐karts at age 10. By 2006 at 14 years of age, he’d become a multiple National and International Karting Champion and the youngest open wheel racing champion in United States history. By 2008 Rossi had become Formula BMW World Champion holding the most series poles (10) and victories (14). This earned him the coveted test with BMW Sauber F1 Team and made history again becoming the youngest driver at just 18 years old to hold a Formula One Super License. Alexander Rossi who’s lived in Europe since 2009 and resides in London is well versed in the business of motorsport and an established ambassador for commercial partners. Many Formula 1 teams are interested in Alexander, not only for his proven raw talent but also his unique commercial value to the American market. Formula 1, the second largest sport in the world, racing in 6 continents and reaching 188 countries has a tremendous history in America. The sport is now fully committed to three world class F1 venues in the United States by 2016. The Circuit of the Americas (known as COTA) in Austin, Texas, is under contract with Formula One Management through 2021. COTA hosted the most successful race on the F1 calendar with its inaugural United States Grand Prix November 2012. In 2015 Formula 1 will add another multi‐year in America, the New Jersey shores of the Hudson River at Imperial Port. This venue will be enhanced with the spectacular New York City backdrop and skyline. A third Formula 1 event is in advanced discussions for the return of the Long Beach Grand Prix in 2016. Long Beach hosted Formula 1 eight years before Indy Car picked up the event in the 1990’s. Formula 1 is growing exponentially in America and the alignment could not be more ideal for Alexander Rossi, the next American on the Formula 1 grid and America, the biggest consumer market on the planet.
