Cutting Directions Diagonal Units WOF = width of fabric from selvage to selvage. Note: Use a ¼" seam allowance for all stitching. Remove as little fabric as possible when squaring strip ends. 1. Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the 4" white/green words squares. 24947 X - Farm Panel • Fussy-cut a 34½" x 40½" rectangle with yellow frame 2. Place a marked square right sides together on 1 even all around. corner of a 6½" blue suns square. Sew on the marked line. Trim seam allowance ¼" out from the 24948 G - Green Animals stitched line. Press the white/green triangle open. • 2 strips 6½" x WOF; recut into (8) 6½" squares. Repeat on the opposite corner of the blue suns • 6 strips 3½" x WOF for border. square to complete 1 blue suns diagonal unit. Repeat to make 6 units. 24948 K - Gray Animals 24949 G - Green Suns • 2 strips 6½" x WOF from each fabric; recut into (8) 6½" squares each fabric. 24949 Q - Blue Suns • 1 strip 6½" x WOF; recut into (6) 6½" squares. 24950 ZG - White/Green Words • 6 strips 4" x WOF; recut into (60) 4" squares. • 6 strips 1½" x WOF for border. 23528 HG - Green Texture • 4 strips 1½" x WOF; trim to make 2 each 40½" and 36½" strips for panel framing. • 6 strips 1½" x WOF for border. • 7 strips 2¼" x WOF for binding.
Blue Diagonal Unit - Make 6
24950 SX - Yellow Words (Backing Only) • 2 pieces 66" x WOF for backing.

3. Repeat step 2 to make 8 each green animals, green suns and gray animals diagonal units.
7. Remove the selvage edges from the backing pieces. Join the pieces on the long edges with a ½" seam allowance. Press seam open. Trim the edges to make a 66" x 72" backing piece. 8. Layer the top with the backing and a 66" x 72" batting piece. Quilt as desired. Trim edges even with the top.
Diagonal Units - Make 8 of each
9. Prepare green texture binding and bind edges using your favorite method to complete the quilt.
Quilt Assembly Refer to the exploded quilt diagram as needed throughout the following steps. 1. Sew the 1½" x 40½" green texture strips to the long sides of the farm panel and the 1½" x 36½" green strips to the top and bottom. Press seams toward the strips to complete the 36½" x 42½" panel center. 2. Join 1 blue suns diagonal unit with 2 each green animals, green suns and gray animals diagonal units to make the 6½" x 42½" left row. Press seams to 1 side. Repeat to make the right row, turning each unit as shown in the exploded quilt diagram. Stitch the rows to the long sides of the panel center. Press seams toward the panel center.

3. Join 2 of each diagonal unit to make the 6½" x 48½" top row, turning the left units in 1 direction and the right units in the opposite direction. Press seams to 1 side. Repeat to make the bottom row. Sew the rows to the top and bottom of the panel center. Press seams toward the rows. Exploded Quilt Diagram
4. Sew the 1½" x WOF white/green words strips short ends together to make a long strip. Press seams to 1 side. Cut into (2) 54½" strips and (2) 50½" strips. Stitch the longer strips to the long sides of the quilt center and the shorter strips to the top and bottom. Press seams toward the strips. 5. Repeat step 4 with the 1½" x WOF green texture strips, cutting (2) 56½" strips and (2) 52½" strips. 6. Stitch the 3½" x WOF green animals strips short ends together to make a long strip. Press seams to 1 side. Cut into (4) 58½" strips. Sew a strip to the long sides of the quilt center and then to the top and bottom to complete the top. Press seams toward the strips.
