Take 2 jelly rolls (the same or coordinating, containing both dark and light fabrics); sew some strip sets together; cut them into squares, then triangles and the finished quilt is amazing with the amount of movement and depth that appears. The pattern offers 3 different layouts -- Chevron, Diamonds and Braids (which I made as the sample).

ANY WAY YOU STRIPE IT -- by Batavian Batiks, a free download from Wilmington Prints (Project # Q580-8-580) -- REQUIRED (you can google Batavian Batiks, and several sites offer a number of Wilmington Prints free downloads

2 jelly rolls of tone on tone or washed colors -- can be 2 of the same jelly rolls or 2 coordinating jelly rolls, and should have contrasting light and dark colors Sewing machine with foot pedal and power cord (in working order, and please practice sewing an accurate 1/4" seam); rotary cutter; pins; seam ripper; neutral piecing thread; scissors; ruler.

BEFORE CLASS: Read through pattern. Separate jelly rolls into 3 piles; the 6 darkest strips for the inner border; 20 dark/medium strips and the 20 lightest strips.
