Fabric requirements – amounts needed are listed in the chart on the back of the pattern, depending on the size of quilt you want to make. For the print fabrics, the pattern strongly recommends that the ¼ yard cuts for each piece is cut at least 9” X 42” (you’ll need the entire 42” from each ¼ yard – cut carefully!) I did use a number of fat quarters for my sample, but used more than than the numbers suggested to gain a greater variety. You can also use a variety of scraps and it will make the quilt very fun and bright. Be sure background fabric is highly contrasted with your print pieces. Frixxion pen or other fabric marker, even a mechanical pencil

Sewing machine with power cord and foot pedal, in good working order (PLEASE BE FAMILIAR WITH YOUR MACHINE – i.e., changing bobbin, threading machine, able to sew straight and accurate ¼” seam); rotary cutter with new blade; scissors; pins; seam ripper; neutral piecing thread;
