1. Jesus’ Return to Galilee – Lk 4:14-15  REVIEW – Baptized by John, Affirmed by God, Empowered by the Holy Spirit  Declared Messiah & Lamb of God  Called first Disciples & showed them His power in Cana, they believed  Presented the Gospel clearly to Nicodemus and the Samaritans  Cleansed the Temple, confronted the Jewish Leaders & launched His public ministry  Moved the ministry to Galilee – healed the Nobleman’s son (in absentia!)

2. Jesus’ Return to Nazareth – Lk. 4:16  Public ministry in Galilee – teaching in the Synagogues  To the Synagogue in Nazareth –He’d attended there since His boyhood!  It was His Custom on the Sabbath Day-

3. Jesus’ Reading of the Isaiah Scroll – Lk. 4:17-19  Was is the ‘Reading for the Day’ or did Jesus choose it? He likely chose it!  Isaiah 61 is a MESSIANIC PASSAGE – No doubt about it!  Millennial blessings – Gentiles included!  Jesus stopped MIDSENTENCE – Unheard of!!!
