Our Time Here We have lived in this house for 22 years and in that time have raised two children who have now purchased their own properties and moved on. We were first attracted by the space that the house provided, by the big bedrooms, the fact it was bright and airy and an ideal location for raising a family. Our favourite room is the kitchen/diner. The kitchen has become the real hub of the home. We had a large kitchen extension constructed 7 years ago, which has created this amazing living area, with a large kitchen, comfy seating area and French doors out onto the garden. It’s a very social room and we all congregate here as a family. The room is fantastic for entertaining. We have had great parties in the kitchen that spill out on to the patio area which surrounds it. The house is in an excellent position for access to everything we have needed. When we bought the property, our children were at Sandgate Primary School, which is just 5 minutes away on foot, while the Boys and Girls Grammar Schools are a 10 minute walk in opposite directions. Cheriton shops are a 5 minute walk away and Folkestone Town Centre is just a 1520 minute walk. Folkestone West Train Station is a 2 minute walk. We love the location, it’s quiet and yet within walking distance of the beach and The Leas (both 10-15 minutes). Now that our children have left home, it’s time for us to downsize. It has been perfect for us as a family and we know that we will miss the house terribly especially the space. It is a real family home and we will look back on our time here with very happy memories.
