Results

• Discovery of dysregulated miRs: miR expression analysis was conducted in myocardial tissues (LV and RA) from two animal models of surgical I/R using GeneChip miRNA arrays (Affymetrix) – a) male rats undergoing cardioplegic arrest (CA), or deep hypothermic circulatory arrest (DHCA) followed by 24h of reperfusion, or sham; and b) male pigs undergoing CA, or DHCA followed by 3h or 6h of reperfusion, or sham. Significantly deregulated miRs (false discovery rate
