Deposit of $10.00 to hold your spot in class. Total fee must be paid in full before class date. Class is 1 session of 3 hours
In this class you will learn basic hand piecing techniques, tips and tricks. You will learn how to make templates, how to cut out pieces with accurate 1/4" seam allowance and how to select patterns for hand piecing. We will start with a basic 4-patch, and learn to combine it with a half square triangle to create a leaf pattern. Next you will learn how to piece a curved seam with the creation of the drunkard's path pattern. Template patterns will be provided.

Supply list: "Quiltmaking by Hand" By Jenny Beyer (Recommended, not required) Fabric Requirements: One charm pack or an assortment of 5" squares* *fabric scraps should include medium to dark fabrics and include approximately 1/4 yard of light fabric for background
Supplies: The required supply is listed followed by our recommendation. Template Plastic* Black felt-tip marking pen (for marking template) – extra fine Sharpies work great! Fabric marking pencil (we recommend Sewline*) Scissors (one pair each for cutting template plastic & fabric) C-thru Ruler for marking seam allowances (Creative Grids makes one that is 1" x 12" *) Thread in a basic color (We both like YLI Select 100% Long Staple Cotton*) Extra Fine Glass Head Pins – Clover* Needles – Richard Hemming & Son/Size 10 sharp* Thimble – BOHN finger cots*, leather thimble*—whatever is MOST COMFORTABLE for you!! Needle threader* Rotary cutter* Small cutting mat and sand board – inquire in the shop* *- available at the shop
