Bloomingdale Youth Sports Association RAIN OUT POLICY Bloomingdale Youth Sports Association is fortunate to have brand new beautiful fields. It is our goal to keep the fields in the finest condition possible. As a result, games may be cancelled and or postponed due to inclement weather. It is the Park Administrators obligation to call a game due to rain or wet field conditions prior to the original game time and all minor games after the game has begun. The Umpire (majors and above) is responsible for calling a game for these reasons after the game has begun. Games should not be played if the condition of the field is such that injury to players could occur. In addition, if the field conditions are deemed to be such that the field itself could become damaged, the game should be called. If a game is called due to inclement weather or dangerous/damaging field conditions, the game is over and make up games or continuation of games in progress (see rule book or ground rules for definition of a complete game) will be scheduled by the player agent. There will be no makeup games or continuation in the minor divisions of baseball or softball or T-ball.
