BU’S LAST TIME OUT: Dana Wieller poured in 26 of her season-high 31 points in the second half and helped lead Bloomsburg to a come-from-behind, 79-68 victory over Kutztown. The Huskies overcame a nine-point deficit late in the first half and shot 17-for-17 at the free throw line including all 10 in the final two minutes. Kayla Oxenrider scored 14 points with a season-high seven rebounds for Bloomsburg. Danielle Derr made her first start of the season and scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds while making all four of her free throws. Derr had three offensive rebounds and played a significant role in the comeback. MU’S LAST TIME OUT: The Marauders beat the Mountaineers of Mansfield, 75-49 on Saturday. Mashira Newman flirted with a triple-double, posting 14 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds to go along with four steals. Fellow redshirt senior Aurielle Mosley gave Newman frontcourt help, hitting for 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting and pulling down seven rebounds. The reigning PSAC East Player of the Week, Mosley also blocked two shots, adding a steal and an assist in just 23 minutes. Millersville’s defense was key in the victory, limiting the Mounties to 34.6 percent shooting and forcing 33 turnovers.

[email protected] 2012-13 Bloomsburg Women’s Basketball Game Notes NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT: Bloomsburg was ranked in the USA Today Top 25 poll for seven consecutive weeks of the regular season. PERFECT AT THE LINE: Bloomsburg shot 17-for-17 at the free throw line against Kutztown including all 10 in the final two minutes. It is the second time this season BU was perfect at the free throw line (9-for-9 vs. Gannon), and the 17 makes marks the most free throws made while shooting 100 percent dating back through the 2002-03 season. DEFENSIVE DOMINANCE: Bloomsburg leads the PSAC and ranks 17th in Division II in defensive field goal percentage (.345), and is fourth in the PSAC in scoring defense (58.3). Millersville ranks second in defensive field goal percentage (.353) and fifth in scoring defense (59.8). SHARE THE WEALTH: BU leads the PSAC and is 10th in Division II with 17.58 assists per game. BU is assisting on 64.98 percent of its total field goals, and has had 10 or more assists in 50 of its last 51 games.

BU’s 93 points were the most against a PSAC opponent since it scored 99 against ESU at home in the 2010-11 season. GETTING OTHERS INVOLVED: Marla Simmons dished out a careerhigh six assists against West Chester. Of players coming off the bench, Simmons is second with 30 assists behind Maggie Borski’s 40.
