Motion was accepted unanimously. Treasurer Report – Chris Felton Chris Felton provided the financial update for March. Balance is $27,429.75. There are some issues with the report print out provided as Chris was having technical problems developing the report today. Report will be corrected for next meeting. Uniforms and field maintenance expense for supplies and cage materials are the largest expenditure since the prior meeting. A motion was made to adopt the report by Keli Morford, Mike Imperato 2nd. Motion was accepted unanimously.
Fundraising – Steve Orff Steve advised the final sponsorship money raised was $5,950, exceeded the estimate by $1,900! All signs for sponsors have been ordered and received, They are hung on the concession stand at Memorial, as well as the NYS Logo sign. Summerfest is the next huge activity for fundraising. More to follow…………… Equipment –Beth Cutler Beth reports that we have many issues currently with equipment. We do not have everything back from last year as just reported. All teams have been provided with their equipment as of now, but teams are finding they have some damaged items, items that are missing, etc. Karen is working on these solutions. Discussed plan for the end of the season and getting everything back, collected, and a comprehensive inventory taken for what we need. This should be completed early this year and an order list created by the fall. Field Maintenance – Rick Adams Rick Adams thanked the many volunteers that came out to help paint dugouts, spread dugout material, rake, cleanup the fields and realign the bases at Memorial the past few weekends. Paul Capalucci and Eddie Scirocco for all the hours spent prepping the area for the batting cage installation. Cage will be last completed item. All the fields are now equipped with the needed materials, sheds to have our coaches prep the fields for play this year. Ricky recommended we purchase gas cards for Eddie and Paul for the money they spent on gas for this project. This will be taken under advisement by the board and we will discuss at the next meeting. BVGSL – Beth Cutler Paul was not in attendance. Coaches meeting was held at the Whitten Community Center and rules and schedules provided. Games have started as of 4/25/13. Reminded all coaches that Home Team must report scores after each game for standings purposes. Pitching Clinics – Beth Cutler Beth reported that Rob Barboza instructed 21 girls on the fine art of softball pitching. The clinic focused on skill development. We need to keep working and developing the girls. It is the key! Concessions – Keli Morford Keli reports all is well. Opening Day is upon us. We will be opening the stand that is already fully stocked and ready to go. This year, as like last, Bobby Ambrosino will assist in cooking and grilling for us free of charge. He will be selling fried dough and Dells which he
will split the profits with us 50/50. All Voluteers are set and we will be selling Walking Taco’s as the special item this year. Summer Ball-‐Rob Barboza Rob reported that the Twin Valley will hold coaches meetings in May for all teams head coaches. Head Coaches must attend at least one of the scheduled meetings. There will be an All Star game held again this season for U10 and U12 only. U10 Summer tryouts will be held on May 17 and May 18. Uniforms – John Rausch John reported that all uniforms are in and all set! Had to overnight some visors and 4 shirsts that were needed, but all players are ready for opening day. NYS Coaches shirts and hats and female visors and all chin straps are in. Motion was made to adjourn meeting by John Rausch, Steve Orff 2nd, all in favor, none opposed. Meeting adjourned at 9:15pm.
