ith its roots so deeply ensconced in the foundations of Sonoma where it was established in 1857, Buena Vista Winery is again introducing wines from Sonoma. The Sonoma wines include a diverse array of varietals that celebrate the diversity of Sonoma’s terroir and the contribution of Buena Vista to establishing the California wine world. The 2013 Buena Vista Winery Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon is harvested from vineyards in Sonoma County selected for their ideal terroir. The wine received minimal oak aging in once and twice used barrels to ensure that the rich fruit and true varietal nature of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape was reflected in the final wine. Our 2013 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon is a true expression of its Sonoma County terroir. The 2013 vintage in Sonoma was one of the earliest harvested vintages in years. A warm spring led to early bud break and created the perfect environment for flowering and fruit set. With warm days and cool nights, our team was able to maintain ideal acid levels with optimum, bright fruit flavors. Our 2013 offering opens with traditional Cabernet aromas before enveloping the palate with mouth-watering flavors of black pepper, cherry and rich caramel.
