Building Relationships with Famil ies • Home Visit • If possible, greet fa milies at the door' with a sm ile and call them by their name . Be friendly. Show interest! • Have conversations with parents during pick-up/drop

off • Show empathy and compassion for family stru ggles and support families when poss ible • Se nd daily reflections, e-mails and letters • Conduct meetings/conferences • Provide fam ily photos/books • Have children's pictures posted t hroughout the classroom
