Dear Student and Parents / Carers PRESENTATION EVENING Wednesday 22nd November 2017 7.30pm for 7.45pm I am pleased to invite you and your parents to our annual Presentation Evening at which the certificates obtained during the GCSE examinations in 2017 along with other certificates and prizes will be presented to all those present. The presentation starts at 7.45pm, but we ask students to gather in the Drama Studio by 7.30pm, where they will be met by their tutors and briefed about the arrangements for the evening. The dress code for the evening is smart casual. There will be a short presentation from our guest of honour Satwant Deol and myself, followed by the presentations. I am delighted that our special guest of honour for our 2017 Presentation Evening will be Satwant Deol. Satwant is the Principal and CEO of The Henley College. Satwant Deol has recently the College joined as its new Principal from Highbury College in Portsmouth. She is an innovative senior education professional with extensive experience of internal and external strategic relationship building in both the Further and Higher Education sectors. Her professional career began in software development and she went on to become both the first woman to lead an all-male development team and the youngest Head of Department at Coventry University. From Higher Education, she moved to the FE sector in London where she developed a reputation for effective change management and for her inclusive, collaborative approach to leadership. After the presentations light refreshments will be available. It is always good on this occasion to see as many of our most recent past students as possible, and I do hope that you and your parents will be able to attend this celebration of your achievements. You will also be able to collect any coursework and practical work. Please indicate on your reply whether you are able to come, and how many there will be in your party, including yourself. We would also request that your complete a short questionnaire about your time at Langtree School, this is included on the reply sheet. The questionnaire will be separated from your reply on receipt keeping your answers anonymous. Your reply should then be returned to Mary Taylor-Lane by Wednesday 15th November 2017.
