CARGILL PROMOTION

CARGILL P PROVIDES

BACKPACKS FOR

STUFF THE BUS

Rodrigo Hernandez Escalera Rodrigo Hernandez Escalera joins the 2nd Shift Harvest Management Team! In 2008, Rodrigo Hernandez Escalera was working in the construction industry when many of his family members here in Fort Morgan encouraged him to come back to the Morgan County area and Cargill. He made the move in November of that year and was rehired as a 2nd legger on the 2nd shift Harvest team.

Cargill presents Unitedd Way with backpacks filled with school supplies for each elementar elementary school in Fort Morgan!

He learned all the jobs on the skinning line and in April 2011, was promoted to the lead person position. In April 2015, he was promoted to a supervisor-in-training position and successfully completed his training so that on August 16, 2015, he was promoted to a Skinning Line Supervisor.

Cargill’s Hiring Supervisor Cecy Drew gathered enough school supplies to fill over ten backpacks for the annual Stuff-the-Bus campaign. Each school will receive two backpacks – one for a girl and one for a boy – that they can give to a deserving student at their location. Along with Cecy, Brandon Sellers, Kemberly Alvarado Minjarez, and Victoria Cline helped gather the supplies and fill the backpacks.

Rodrigo and his wife Maria have two sons – Carlos, 7 years and Rodrigo Jr., 2 years. Their family time includes going camping, fishing and watching the Colorado Rockies. Rodrigo also enjoys playing soccer every summer.

“It is really hard and expensive to go and gather all the specific items on each list! I don’t know how parents do it!,” said Cecy. She continued, “it was also fun and made me feel good to be able to give back to the community in this way.”

We are thankful to Rodrigo’s family for encouraging him to return to Fort Morgan and Cargill in 2008! Congratulations, Rodrigo!

Cargill is proud to be able to support our local schools and wishes everyone a great school year!
