Heather Rebecca Kauffman, of Washington, D.C., and Dr Robin Stuart Bell, of Worcester, England, are very pleased to announce their engagement.
Mr. & Mrs. Paul Weaver of Cleveland, GA and Mr. & Mrs. Ben Lepore, Jr. of York, PA are pleased to announce the engagement of Michelle Weaver and Tom Lepore.
Heather is the daughter of Daniel and Diana Kauffman of Codorus, PA. She is a 2001 graduate of Spring Grove Area Senior High School, a 2005 graduate of Lycoming College with a Bachelor’s Degree, and a 2010 graduate of John’s Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies with a Master’s Degree. Heather works for the U.S. Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration as a Foreign Affairs Specialist.
Michelle is a graduate of Weaver Home Education with a graduation program out of North GA Tech College. She is the lead singer of the Weaver Believer Survival Revival, a southern gospel bluegrass family band.
Robin is the son of Stephen and Sandra Bell of Bristol, England. He received his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD at universities in the United Kingdom. Robin is an Associate Professor/ Senior Lecturer at University of Worcester, England
They will travel with the Weaver Band following their marriage.
Tom is a 2002 graduate of West York High School and is employed in his family business, Ben Franklin RV Park in York. The couple is planning a June 7, 2014 wedding in York.
The happy couple met in the south of Spain during a one-week volunteer trip. The years since have been full of airplane rides, international rendezvous paired with business trips, and shared holidays in each other’s respective countries. The wedding will not only symbolize the coming together of two cultures and two families, but will also be their send-off before moving to Beijing to begin the next exciting chapter of their lives. Robin proposed to Heather on a surprise impromptu trip to the US. He proposed while on a walk around the Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C. That walk was the first thing they did together when Robin first visited Heather in the U.S. The wedding will be July 26, 2014 at Camp Penn in Waynesboro, PA.
