I further agree that all work performed will be in accordance with approved plans, specifications and conditions and to abide by all ordinances of the CIty and the laws of the State of Minnesota regarding actions taken pursuant to this permit. I agree to pay all plan review fees even if I choose not to proceed with the work. Permit expires when work is not commenced with 180 days from date of permit issued, or if building and work is suspended, abandoned or not inspected for 180 days. SUBMITTALS FOR PERMIT SUBMISSION CHECKLIST FOR ABOVE GROUND, TEMPORARY POOLS The following items are required to be submitted along with the items listed on the permit application for all above ground, temporary swimming pools that are over 24" high and/or have a capacity of 5,000 gallons or greater. Incomplete applications will not be processed. Complete Permit Application Data Privacy Advisory Form (Form A) Two (2) sets of plans Type of material to be used Method of installation Site Plan indicating location of pool with dimensions to adjacent property lines identified "Do it Yourself" Form (if property owner is the General Contractor) (Form C)

SUBMISSION CHECKLIST FOR IN GROUND POOLS The following items are required to be submitted along with the items listed on the permit application for all in ground swimming pools. Complete Permit Application Data Privacy Advisory Form (Form A) Two (2) sets of Plans showing: Plan view indicating: Type of material to be used Method of installation Cross section view Two (2) NEW or UPDATED Registered Land Surveys. Surveys must include the following: Surveys may be waived at the Zoning Administrator's discretion.

Location, Floor Area, and Building Envelope of Existing and proposed structures Location of Existing or Proposed Fence (See Handout) Lot Lines Building Setbacks (Front, Rear, Side, Lake, Wetland, Shoreland District) Floodplain, Floodway Delineations, Ordinary High Water Mark, Wetlands, Watercourses, Reservoirs, Ponds Hardcover Calculations - % & square footage of structures, driveway & parking, etc. Wells & Neighboring Wells if New Drainfield is Installed Septic System & Drainfield or Sanitary Sewer Connect

GENERAL BUILDING CODE REQUIREMENTS A building permit is required for any in ground swimming pool and any above ground swimming pool that is greater than 24" in height and has a maximum capacity of more than 5,000 gallons. Pool height is measured from grade. All pools are considered to be a "structure" and shall meet setback requirements for the applicable zoning district. The hardcover patios surrounding in ground swimming pools is not considered to be part of the structure and are allowed within setbacks City Code requires either a 4' high fence with self-closing, self-latching gates or an automatic pool cover that meets ASTM standards for all in ground pools in residence districts, except for AP and A. If electing to construct fence, it must be shown on the new/updated survey. If opting for an automatic pool cover, proof of purchase and documentation of compliance with ASTM standards and must be submitted with the building permit application. Separate Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing permits are required.

GENERAL NOTES

*The State of Minnesota requires that all residential building contractors, remodelers and roofers obtain a state license unless they qualify for a specific exemption from the licensing requirements. Any person claiming an exemption must provide a copy of a Certificate of Exemption from the Department of Labor & Industry to the City before a permit can be issued.
