[email protected] Bittersweet Fall Retreat: This is our 4th Annual Fall Retreat. Finish or start new projects of your choice. Make new friends or bring along a few old ones. Retreat starts on Thursday at 10:00am and ends on Saturday at 4:00p.m. Meals included: Thur.-Lunch & Dinner, Fri.-Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, and Sat.Breakfast & Lunch. We sew all day and late into the evening. Choose to sleep at home, book a room in our Loft bedroom, or stay at our local motel. For Loft availability give us a call. We provide all ironing boards, irons, cutting mats, sewing tables, and lots of fun! Date: November 19th-21st, 2015

Glam Shell Bag– This small purse/bag is great for shopping, small enough to carry the necessary items and not be heavy. It would make a great gift for this Christmas season for any women, young or old. The purse measures 8” x 7” closed, with 2 zippered pockets, 1 open pocket, 8 credit card slots, and a cell phone pocket. Singer Featherweight Clinic–During this clinic we discuss history, maintenance, features of the machine, free motion quilting, and attachments. Please do not bring your machine with you on this day, we use our machines as demos. There will be machines, supplies, and attachments available for purchase on this day. Self Binding Baby Blanket: Back again by popular demand! Bring two pieces of coordinating flannel. Supplies: 1 1/4 yd. for backing, and 1yd. for inside. These are fun and easy to make, you’ll make them for years to come. Dates: Nov. 2nd

Attic Window Panel Quilt: Turn any panel into an attic window quilt. How about using a deer scene panel for the hunter in your life? Bring your panel and 3/4yd each White, brown and black fabric. You will learn how to cut all the parts to make the attic windows in class and hopefully get all the windows sewn together. Date: Wed. Oct. 21st

Bittersweet Shop Retreat? Our retreat area downstairs of the shop is available for rental. We provide sewing tables, cutting mats, ironing boards and irons, full kitchen use, restrooms, and showers. Our retreat can hold 16 for sewing and our loft bedroom accommodates six for sleeping. We also have a very nice motel in town that our quilters use for larger groups. Call for more info and dates. Bittersweet Vintage Retreat: This new retreat home is an experience all it’s own! Opening in January of 2016. It is located eight blocks east of the shop. Reservations opened recently and dates are booking up fast so don’t wait to book for 2016. We can accommodate 10 guests at this beautifully restored 1920’s Arts & Craft Home. One private room on the first floor and three dorm rooms with three beds each on the second floor. Two bathrooms on the first floor, and one on the second. The quant sewing room is located on the first floor. Easy access ramp to wheel your machines and luggage in and out. Comfortable sitting area with flat screen TV, WI-FI, and fully stocked kitchen. You’ll also find cutting tables, design walls, top quality irons, extra wide ironing boards, sewing tables, comfortable chairs, and LED lighting. See our Facebook page to see progress on the Retreat. For fees see our website for more details. Sunflower Song Runner: This new pattern is by Kansas Troubles Quilter’s and the fabric is from the new line “Sunflower Song”. You’ll learn raw edge applique and finish the top during class. Fee includes pattern and fabric for top and binding. You’ll need an additional 1 yard for the backing. Carry On Travel Bag: This bag is fantastic, but not a class for a beginner. This is an intermediate class! It will take two classes to finish this bag and there will be a little homework. When you are finished you will be glad you made it, because it will last for years to come. Supplies: 1 1/2 yd fabric for main body, 1 1/2 yd. for lining, 1 1/4yd Soft & Stable, 5 yds. 1” or 1 1/2” strapping, (1) 10” zipper, (1) 20” zipper, (1) 30” double slide zipper, hardware pack, fusible interfacing SF101, and foam core for bottom of bag. Times 3: This class is for the quilter who just started sewing. We’ll be making the smallest size in class. However, you’ll enjoy it so much that you’ll want to make one of the larger sizes available in the pattern. This throw quilt measures 53” x 71”. Diamond Wedding Ring Topper/Wall hanging: This is a new ruler system by Judy Niemeyer. In this class, you are going to make a table topper/wall hanging; no paper piecing with this pattern. This class will require a moderate level of sewing, but not advanced. You can view a few samples in the shop. Plus see the new Christmas sample. Supplies: You will need the set of rulers for this class ($28.95), 7/8 yd. background fabric, 1/2 yd. accent for arcs, and 1/8yd. for star center and tips. Date: Wed. Nov. 4th

Each year Border Creek Station unveils a new fun mystery quilt pattern for eight months of quilting suspense. This year's theme is "Quilter's Legacy" and will feature the fabric collection Mille Couleurs designed by 3 Sisters for Moda and includes three exclusive prints only available with this quilt club. You can see a sneak peak of the fabric in the shop now! There will be two quilt kit options for this year's Mystery Quilt Club. You can choose to create a Lap/Throw quilt that measures 59 inches by 78 inches for $139.99 or you can choose to create a Queen quilt that measures 98 inches by 98 inches for $189.99. The first month you will receive your selected sized fabric kit. The fabric kit will include all the fabrics needed to create the top, including borders and binding. Each month, for 8 months, you will receive a new mystery block pattern with clearly written instructions and full color diagrams. Quilt is revealed in the 8th month! During the 8 months we open the retreat area for members to come a sew for the day. You will be given the next set of instructions, and we go over them and answer any questions you might have. If you choose to pick up your instructions you can do so any day after the 2nd Wednesday of the month. There is a limit of 20 for this program. Date: Wed. Scrappy Duo Quilt: Back by popular demand! Make this quilt and you’ll get a small bonus quilt too! This fun and easy quilt measures 73” x 91” and uses two Layer Cakes, plus yardage for the solid blocks. When you finish you’ll have finished blocks to make the small throw quilt that measures 46” x 59”. Supplies: 2 Matching Layer Cakes, 3 3/4 yard solid white/cream that coordinates with the Layer Cakes, 3/4 yd. for binding, 5 1/2 yd. for backing Date: Tues. Cracker Box Blocks by Square in a Square: During this class we will use the Square in a Square tool to create these easy blocks. Bring scrap fabrics of your choice, and your tool. You’ll also want to bring a solid background color of your choice such as white/cream/tan. Depending on how many blocks you want to make. For class you’ll need at least 1yd. However, if you want to make a large quilt out of this pattern call and speak to Tina about how much you will need. This pattern looks good in all types of fabric from Modern to Civil War, you choose. Good way to use up scraps! Dates: Dec. 7th

Beginner’s Wool Applique: Want to learn the art of wool applique? In this class we’ll teach you how to make a small project that you’ll take home that day. Learn the methods of stabilizing wool, cutting, stitching, and care of your finished project. Supplies: Small, sharp applique scissors, pencil, and paper scissors. Coin Purse: Make this adorable little coin purse using your favorite piece of fabric. You’ll have a few different styles to choose from. Great gift idea, and easy to make.
