If you need supplies please allow enough time before class to get them, we must start classes on time to accomplish all that we need to teach. In this class, we will learn how to make two or three different projects with one ruler. You can decide to make these quilt projects small or large. You will learn the skills to make various blocks and tops. Flower head pins Sewing machine with ¼” foot, pedal, cords and manual 18” x 24” rotary cutting mat Rotating mat is very useful Sharp rotary cutter Snips for threads Sharp scissors Seam ripper Creative Grids Starburst ruler and instructions 6 ½” x 24” ruler is the most useful for this project 6 ½” square ruler 12 ½” square ruler or larger Orange Cutting Edge Strips are useful Pencil Masking Tape or labels Best Press Fabrics: Starburst Pinwheel blocks: This is enough fabric for four 12” finished blocks. If leftovers are the same or coordinate with the other project, you can use them in the scrappy border of the Vintage Vines project. 1/2 meter of two fabrics for the block backgrounds 1/2 meter of two fabrics for the pinwheel centers 1/2 meter for the sashing of four blocks 1/2 meter for the border of four blocks 1/2 meter for the binding 100 % cotton thread to blend Homework: Spray and press with Best Press and wind up two bobbins Vintage Vines: This is enough fabric for 36 ½” x 42 ½” center. If you have leftovers from this and the Starburst Pinwheel that co-ordinate you can make the scrappy border, or make a scrappy runner or quilt top. .75 of four assorted prints that are non-directional Background: 2.2 meters of a tone on tone contrasting fabric Homework: Spray and press with Best Press. Cut Background into (12) 4 1/4” strips and (14) 6 1/2" squares
