For late summer flowering sow seeds thinly in trays of a good moist seed compost covering lightly and keep in a cold greenhouse or frame at about 5-7°C (41-45°F) for two weeks then raise to 10-12°C (50-54°F). Germination may take 3-6 weeks. Transplant seedlings into small pots and plant out in a cool, slightly shaded area. Can be sown directly outside in June-July if required in a moist, well prepared soil for flowering next year.
HELPFUL HINT If you need to trim back plants – do
so after flowering.
