From the owners of 3031 Macomb Street “We moved into this house in September 1966 with two toddler daughters and Mom 8 months pregnant, so decided to give ourselves a house-warming party before actually moving in, with just a table and some folding chairs and lots of flowers to welcome our friends. Our son was born 3 weeks later and we continued to expand into our wonderful new house. At the same time the girls’ Montessori school moved into the Tregaron mansion across the street, so eventually all three children attended school there and Mom pruned invasive vines along the drive as she walked the kids to school daily. Our older daughter had her wedding reception in the house and garden in June 1987, and the younger daughter later married in the front garden under an arch in front of the corner flowerbed... A few years ago we had a wonderful 50th anniversary party given by our children in the house and garden with a New Orleans theme. they set up buffet tables in the pool house, with dry ice and floating candles in the swimming pool providing a bayou atmosphere, and a dixieland band and dancing on the front porch. Mom’s widowed mother visited Washington frequently and enjoyed the back guest room after the kids moved out...“ HMS Home Warranty Included
