Club Awards Here’s the thing: your club is rad and you know it. Your events are rad. Your volunteers and executives are rad. Let us at the SU show some gratitude for your raditude. Anyone can nominate your club for one of 14 club awards. Award categories range from Advocacy to Sustainability and everything in between! All awards come with a $250.00 honorarium for the winning club. Check the Clubs Website for nomination criteria and details. Club Awards and Eric Lahoda Scholarships (below) are presented at the Club Awards Banquet, hosted by the SU on April 5th in the MacHall Ballroom. All club execs are welcome to join in this year-end celebration of excellence. RSVPs open in March on ClubHub. Award Nominations open January 3 and are due February 28, 2017 at 4:30 pm.
Eric Lahoda Memorial SU Clubs Scholarship There’s more to university than classes. Clubs provide incredible opportunities for everything from socializing to social awareness, but none of it would be possible without excellent executives leading the way. This Eric Lahoda Memorial SU Clubs Scholarship is made possible through the Quality Money Program. Ten scholarships, each valued at $1000.00, are awarded each year. The Clubs Website has application criteria and more details. Scholarship Applications open on January 3 and are due February 21, 2017 at 4:30 pm.
Laurence Decore Award Can you name these two lugers (hint: one has an award named after them)? Although not specifically for SU Club execs, the Laurence Decore award recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding dedication and leadership to fellow students and to their community through involvement in student government, student associations, clubs and / or community organizations. Applications are only being accepted until January 15, 2017. Download your application (available Dec 1) form on the SU Website and email it to [email protected].
Other Awards and Scholarships Interested in external scholarships or other opportunities? Check out the SU Website’s Scholarship Page. Most applications for these awards cab be accessed through your online student centre in June and are due August 1.
