Colgate won last season 10-8 in Bethlehem, Pa. SCOUTING THE RAIDERS (1-8, 0-3) The Raiders fell to 1-8 overall 0-3 in Patriot League play following an 11-10 overtime loss at Army on Saturday. The loss wasa Colgate’s second-straight setback in overtime. Colgate is led up front by Ben McCabe and Peter Baum. McCabe has 22 points off 18 goals and four assists, while Baum has 18 goals and one assist. Patrick Campbell leads the team with eight assists, while Michael Crown headlines the defense with four points, 31 groundballs and 11 forced turnovers. Jared Madison and Tim Harrington have split time between the pipes with Madison leading the way with a 9.51 GAA and .544 save percentage, while Harrington has a 9.81 GAA. SCOUTING LEHIGH (6-5, 1-2) The Mountian Hawks improved to 6-5 overall, winning their third-straight game, 9-6, over Sacred Heart on Saturday. Dante Fantoni, the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, leads Lehigh with 30 points off 19 goals and 11 assists. Cameron Lao-Gosney is tied for the team lead with 19 goals and second with 26 points. Dan Carr has started every game between the pipes this season with a 10.15 GAA and .492 save percentage.

at .708 (34-14). Nagle has guided Colgate to its first Patriot League Tournament Championship, its highest national ranking, and a 14-4 record in Patriot League play over the past three seasons. The Raiders posted three straight 11-win seasons for the first time in history under Nagle’s watch. BAUM NamED PL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK, AGAIN ... Freshman Peter Baum (Portland, Ore.) was named the Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 28. This is the second straight week Baum has received this award. Baum garnered the honor after scoring a career-high four goals against Navy last week. Baum now has 17 goals on the season, fourth in the Patriot League, and the most posted by a freshman since Brandon Corp ’09 posted 19 in 2006. BAUM NamED PL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Peter Baum was named the Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 21. Baum garnered the honor after scoring five goals in two games. Baum scored three times against No. 14/11 Harvard and then added two more goals against Fairfield. McClelland Named to Team Canada FINAL Roster Colgate men’s lacrosse senior Ryan McClelland (Brampton, Ont.) was selected as one of the final 24 players to the Team Canada roster. McClelland is one of two college players named to the final roster that will represent Canada at the World Championships in Manchester, England in July. Raiders Ranked 21st on Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook The Colgate University men’s lacrosse team has been ranked in the top-25 of the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook. The Raiders enter the preseason preview in the 21st spot after closing out the 2009 season 9-6. Two-time defending national champion Syracuse was dubbed the top team in the nation, according to the poll, while Navy headlined the Patriot League with the 10th spot. Raiders Face Maryland at Lacrosse Day of Champions The Colgate University men’s Lacrosse team will join the Indians Rock Community Foundation for its third annual Lacrosse Day of Champions at Manhasset High School. The Day of Champions will feature two events spread out over four separate days. The Raiders will headline the second event on May 8th as they take on Maryland at Manhasset High School. Defending New York state high-school champion Manhasset versus conference rival Cold Spring Harbor will follow the Colgate-Maryland game. The Lacrosse Day of Champions events start on Friday, March 5 with youth tournaments for grades 4-9. Some slots are still available, and teams can register at www.irockfundhome.org.
