MEET THE HEAD COACHES CHOWAN BRETT VINCENT enters his fourth season at the helm of the men’s basketball program. Before coming to Chowan, Vincent served as interim head coach at Fairmont State University, and spent eight seasons with the Fighting Falcons. The Hawks posted a 15-13 overall record last year, earning the first winning mark since the 2009-10 season.

LIVINGSTONE JAMES STINSON has served as head coach at Livingstone since 2014. The Blue Bears have won the CIAA Tournament title for the past two consecutive seasons. Livingstone’s first CIAA Tournament title marked the first championship crown for the Blue Bears in program history. Stinson previously coached at Barber-Scotia before coming to Livingstone.

LAST TIME OUT The Hawks rolled to their sixth straight win on Saturday with an 84-67 victory over Winston-Salem State. Chowan’s current six game winning streak marks the longest for the men’s basketball program since the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons when the team won eight straight contests. Kortez Smith netted 26 points in the victory and is now six points away from reaching the 1000 point mark. Andrew Lopez poured in a career-high 25 points in the victory.
