Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club Alfred Zarlengo Latino Soccer Program Manager Location: Denver, CO – travel throughout Colorado required Hours: Salaried, full-time Reports to: Kincaid Schmidt, U4-U10 Assistant Program Director Job Summary: The Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club has created the Alfred Zarlengo Latino Soccer Program to provide access to high quality, developmentally appropriate soccer for Latino children in under-resourced areas. Rapids Youth Soccer is seeking a Program Manager who will be responsible for implementing all aspects of the program. The Program will have two components:  The Alfred Zarlengo Latino Endowment will provide a bridge for the Rapids Youth Soccer’s Soccer for Success players to continue in a Denver metro area league.  The Alfred Zarlengo Latino Initiative will give Latino children access to soccer clinics and leagues in targeted areas outside of the Denver Metro/Front Range area. Duties and Responsibilities:  Build partnerships with other organizations and/or schools  Identify and secure facilities for programming  Recruit, hire, train and manage coaches  Work closely with Soccer for Success staff and partners to identify and register players for programs  Organize equipment for each program  Support and evaluate coaches on a regular basis  Ensure Rapids Youth Soccer curriculum is effectively implemented in all programs  Work with Rapids Youth Soccer staff to publicize the program and to recruit new participants, volunteers and staff Required Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree  Native Spanish speaker  Passion for urban education, youth development and soccer  Background in program management  Excellent organizational skills  Computer literacy, excellent verbal and written communication skills  Excellent people skills in a diverse environment  Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with administrators, coaches, parents and players  Ability to motivate others around you and work as part of a team

 

Ability to travel throughout Colorado Must pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications:  USSF license or equivalent  Familiarity with Latino communities in the state of Colorado  Experience working with soccer organizations in the state of Colorado Salary and Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package.
