POW Nominations for Oct 30th-Nov 1st 2015

Courage Girls 04 Whit - Raquel Cartagena - #Mightymouse Although one of the smallest players on the field, Raquel is a true competitor. In a game against St Mary's top team, Raquel shut down her side of the field defensively. She won every tackle and 50/50 ball. Once she won the ball, her distribution was excellent, creating numerous attacks out of the back. Courage Girls 03 White- Ashley Cline - #GoingToBeMissed Filled in at the 5 and played the full 70 minutes in a 2-2 game v. FPYC. Did a great job taking away the striker, organizing our defense and

pushing up quickly to deny space. We're going to lose Ashley next month as her family moves to Florida. She's been a great Courage player over the past two years. Excellent teammate and friend to all of the 03s. We're going to miss her! Courage Girls 01 White - Ashley Durastanti - #GameDaySuccess Ashley played the #7 & #11 role this weekend and had a great showing in our 4-1 victory this Sunday. She was involved in many of our opportunities we had to goal and had a very nice assist in the first 5 minutes of the first have whipping a ball into the box to the far post, Later in the half Ashley had a great run off the ball doing a forward rotation where our #9 player received the ball and dribbled wide and she immediately angled her run towards the goal becoming the #9. This movement from our strikers stretched the defense where Ashley was able to receive a cross at the top of the six yard box and placed the ball into the far post side netting. Ashley has been working extremely hard in training and on

her own during the week outside of practice and it was nice for her to be rewarded in seeing some success on game day! Courage Girls 99 White - Jill Brennan - #BrennanBrilliance Jill played the #6 for us and had an amazing game this weekend. She won nearly every 50/50 ball in the air as well as getting stuck in on tackles. Jill made it difficult for the opposition’s midfield to play through balls or get any shots off in open play. Numerous times Jill would make a recovery run and double their strikers on the ball and helped us regain possession. When she had the ball she made great decisions to help our team keep possession as and play and a high tempo by moving the ball quickly from one side to the other. This season in training and games she's had a great work ethic and have been leading by example!

Courage Boys 02 Black - Marvin Perez - #PerezPossession He lead the team from the #8 position effectively creating penetrating attacks and winning the ball back to establish and maintain possession. Marvin's technical skill and tactical awareness as a central midfielder contributed to Courage's success this past week and the entire season. USSDA - Kenny Robles #ShakeNBake Displayed exceptional effort on the field and worked as hard as he can to get to the ball during the all three games. He often exhibits intelligent and unselfish play finding his teammates all around the field. Courage Boys 01 White - David Sinclair - #BattleWinner Played every minute of both games this weekend at 6 and 3. David was steady defensively, good keeping possession, creative

from the deep midfield, and won his 1v1 battles. Courage Boys 99 White- Steven Sosa - #3GoalsNextTime Steven ended the season with 2 goals he was dangerous every time he touched the ball beating players 1v1 and creating for his teammates. He was a two way player as well winning 50-50 balls, tackles, and then creating quick transition. Unlucky to not get a hat-trick after the goalie made brilliant saves on a breakaway and shot from distance.
