Marco's Pizza and Ahlf Junior High are working together on a fun and exciting program. With your help and your appetite, we can raise funds for our school which go directly to benefit the student. On Thursday, February 4th, when placing your order be sure to mention that your order is to benefit Ahlf Jr. High School and then Marco's pizza will donate 10% of your order amount back to the school! This applies on all dine in, carry-out or delivery orders during normal business hours (11: 00 am - 10:00pm). Eat pizza, and support your school!

Musical Notes Career Development Job Presentations 8th grade students in Mrs. Morrison’s Career Development classes will present various jobs Feb. 10-12. Students are randomly assigned a job, will complete research about the duties, requirements and compensations of the job, and then dress appropriately and present the job to the class. This is a fun, interactive way for students to learn about the various career opportunities available.

Choir--Choir will perform their Mid-Winter Concert on Thursday, February 18 at the Searcy High School Performing Arts Center
Band--8th grade band will perform their Mid-Winter Concert on Sunday, March 6 at 2:00 in the Searcy High School Performing Arts Center. On March 14 or 15, they will travel to West Memphis to perform in the Region IV concert assessment.
Orchestra--The Orchestra will perform their MidWinter concert on Monday, March 7th at 7:00 P.M. in the Searcy High School Performing Arts Center. The 7th and 8th grade orchestras will also travel to West Memphis on Monday March 14 and Tuesday, March 15 respectively, for their performances at the Region IV concert contest.
SEMESTER TEST EXEMPTION POLICY(page 71 in the school handbook) The purpose of this policy is to encourage good attendance and highlight academics. Students will qualify to be exempt from second semester tests only under the following conditions:

No grade below a “C” and no more than “3” absences for the current semester No grade below a “B” and no more than“4” absences for the current semester. No grade below an “A” and no more than “5” absences for the current semester.
Attendance will be counted up to the day semester tests begin. If a student misses more than 10 minutes of a class, the student will be marked absent for that period. (pg 32) STUDENTS MAY NOT TAKE SEMESTER TESTS EARLY OR OUT OF ORDER. STUDENTS MUST MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR EXEMPTION FOR ALL CLASSES TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR EXEMPTION. STUDENTS WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR EXEMPTION WILL BE ALLOWED TO TAKE SEMESTER EXAMS ON THE BASIS THAT THEY TAKE ALL SEMESTER EXAMS. SEMESTER EXAMS WILL BE THE LAST THREE DAYS OF SCHOOL.
THERE WILL BE NO OPEN CAMPUS DURING SEMESTER EXAMS.
