Schneider Electric offers a robust line of air conditioning disconnects with the residential and commercial installer in mind. In 2009, this offer was standardized with a molded case switch version, available in either metallic or non-metallic enclosures, or a metallic enclosure for a two-pole 60 A maximum Type QO circuit breaker. Air conditioning disconnects from Schneider Electric are Underwriters Laboratories® (UL®) Listed NEMA Type 3R rainproof. They are designed to meet all current National Electrical Code® (NEC®) requirements for a disconnecting means on residential and commercial air conditioning installations, as well as other single-phase applications, such as swimming pools and pump houses. The metallic and non-metallic product lines offered by Schneider Electric provide the flexibility to meet the most common air conditioning disconnect application.
