CITY PET LICENSES The City of Peabody requires that all pets (dogs and cats) must have a current rabies vaccination and yearly City tag. City tags are purchased at the City Office each January. You must have proof of current rabies vaccination from your Veterinarian. City Pet Licenses are $5.00 for spayed/neutered animals OR $10.00 for nonspayed/neutered animals (Both dogs & cats are the same). Pet owners may not exceed over 3 dogs and / or 3 cats. Pets must be confined to owner’s property at all times. If your pet is off your property you must have control of it, such as putting it on a leash. A complete copy of the revised animal ordinance was published in the Peabody Gazette Bulletin on March 21, 2001. Copies of Ordinance 2004-03 may be obtained from the City Building. IT IS OUR INTENTION TO ACT IMMEDIATELY TO ADDRESS YOU PROBLEMS. WE DEPEND ON YOU TO HELP US FIND THE ANIMAL PROBLEMS IN PEABODY.
