Things are going to look a whole lot brighter at Riviera Little League This past Tuesday, Torrance City Council approved our proposal to install lights at Riviera Little Leauge. This means more, if not all, games will be played at RLL instead of South High. In addition, game start times will not be affected prior to Daylight Savings Time and games won’t be cut short because it gets too dark. Many thanks to Brent Hannon, Mark Iinuma, John Merryman, Gary Guagenti, Craig Zimmerman, and the rest of the 2015 Riviera Little League Board for getting us to this point. Lights are expected to be installed in time for the 2016 season.
League News • Be a part of the RLL Team! - we are still looking for someone to manage our Riviera Little League logo apparel next year. Contact us if you are interested or if you have any questions. And if you are looking for some new summer wear, make sure to check out our cool RLL hats, tanks, and tshirts for sale. April 25 – Last day to sign up for Snack • Is it your lucky day? Try your hand at our 50/50 Raffle! Tickets Shack shifts before deposit forfeiture are $1/each and the winner splits the pot with the League. League profits go toward the lights! • Watch Noah C., from the Iron Pigs Minor Team, implore Torrance May 25 – Memorial Day City Council to approve the lights at the field and see City Council then June 6 – Closing Day unanimously approve it!
