Domestic Elite Team/PRT Team Application This form acts as the registration form for 2017 Domestic Elite Teams, as well as for other team types eligible for the team competition of the 2017 Pro Road Tour. Please see the information on page 2 for Domestic Elite Team qualifications, as well as information on other teams that qualify for the team rankings.

Domestic Elite Team Composition All teams competing for Domestic Elite Team Rankings are subject to the following: • Teams may register up to 25 riders. • The riders must be officially enrolled on the official Domestic Elite team application form. • Registration of Domestic Elite teams will end on March 15th, 2017. • All riders registered must have the required racing category (Category 1 for men, Category 1/2 for women). Membership on a DET DOES NOT automatically confer an upgrade. • There is no age restriction for riders on Domestic Elite Teams. Nationality of Riders: • For Domestic Elite Teams 80% of the riders for men’s teams and 50% of riders for women’s teams must be USA citizens with USA UCI codes. Staff Licensing: • Please note that for all USA Cycling events with a caravan, a National Federation license is required, and the driver must have attended a caravan safety class in the previous two years. • Cars driven in the caravan at UCI races must be driven by a licensed Sport Director, or be a licensee with a licensed Sports Director in the car. Addition of Riders: Any riders added after the initial registration of the team ae subject to a $10 additional fee. Riders added to the team must still fall within the guidelines above (age, nationality, total number). Riders may be added using the “Rider Add” form available from USA Cycling. Additional Benefits: For 2017, Domestic Elite Teams will be afforded privileges at National Championships not given to other teams. Please see the specific eligibility documents provided for each event for details. What type of team can score team points? • • •
UCI Pro Continental, Continental and Women’s road teams that are registered through USA Cycling UCI Continental and Women’s road teams that are registered in other countries and apply to USA Cycling (see below) USA Cycling Domestic Elite Teams
USA Cycling registered Pro Continental, Continental and Women’s teams are automatically registered to earn points as part of their licensing process. There is no additional fee. Foreign Continental and Women’s teams must register with USA Cycling, pay the required fee, and declare their rosters of riders that will be competing for the Pro Road Tour points. The registration fee for Domestic Elite Teams is $500 plus a $450 contribution to the RaceClean program. Please note: this fee does not include the USA Cycling registered/affiliated club team fee. Any associated club must be registered through the USA Cycling website.
